Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out why Google Search Console won't index my website. I verified my website and submitted my sitemap. It's discovered every URL on my website but it's not indexing them. It says: Validation started Started: 12/19/22 but nothing has changed since it supposedly started. It just lists all my URLs with "last crawled: N/A" next to it. I checked that none of my pages are blocked from being indexed but there's no problems there. I even checked the crawl stats but apparently there are no problems.
I had right click disabled throughout my website, which I removed because I thought that may have been the problem. Nothing changed. I'm wondering if my page anchors are causing issues. I have a Contents Section on each of my tutorials with page anchors leading to each title to make it easier to navigate. Google doesn't frown on this do they?
I'm concerned it's a content issue but I have no idea what would need fixing with that. My website is www.TheClayTalk.com if you want to have a look. I honestly have no idea where to go to from here. I've been searching on Google for an answer for the past week but nothing has gotten me closer to a solution. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts that might help point me in the right direction.

Hi Amanda
This is often a timing issue but not in this case. I checked the domain theclaytalk.com but no TXT records exist at the moment.
I recommend that you check your settings in the Domains panel and try to add the TXT record again. Do post a screenshot of the current settings if you are unsure how to proceed.
Did this help? Please give feedback by clicking an icon below ⬇️
Thanks, I tried adding the @ symbol instead of writing theclaytalk.com as the host. This seemed to fix it 🙂

Hi everyone. I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm not the most savvy with websites, Squarespace has been good so far but I've run into a problem.
I'm trying to verify my domain via DNS record on the Google Search Console. It says:
- Select record type: TXT
- Sign into your domain provider
- copy the TXT record below into the DNS configuration for theclaytalk.com
So I went into the DNS settings in my Squarespace website. I created a custom record. The host is theclaytalk.com. Type is TXT. The Data is the string of text they told me to copy and paste. However, when I click verify in the google console it says "We couldn't find your verification token in your domain's TXT records. Sometimes DNS changes can take a while to appear. Please wait a few hours, then reopen your property in Search Console. If verification fails again, try adding a different DNS TXT record."I've tried waiting 2 days now and it still won't verify. I'm not sure what I've done wrong. If anyone knows what to do I would greatly appreciate any help.CheersAmanda

Thanks for your reply. I decided to go with a different website builder, which is why it's expired. My new site is fully indexed now.
