It is 7.1, and your question is the answer. (D'oh!) I was looking at the side menu/panel under settings, etc. and not finding anything about animations. But your question made me look again and I found it under the Site Styles panel. I knew I was making it harder than it needed to be. Thank you!!

[site pw is Rochester until we launch] My client doesn't like the gradual fade-in loading of text, images, and other content. They think the site is loading slowly, even though I explained this is an intentional animation. Is there a way to disable it, so the the entire page loads (or the animations are fast enough to be seamless)?
