  1. Ya, it's quite crazy how complicated it turns out to be. In the end I found that the SquarespaceWebsite tools extension was really doing a great job at exporting/importing between different squarespace, and from 7 to 7.1.
  2. I am trying it out to move some content (blog mainly) from a ss7 to a ss7.1 and I must say it works great! After hassling with xml export from ss and import into wordpress then export to xml and import to ss, this extension is way better.
  3. Ok correction, I actually imported 2 blogs from wordpress, same conditions, one imported with thumbnails, and one without 🙂 I'm confused. actually trying to move a blog from squarespace 7 to squarespace 7.1 using wordpress import/export So steps are: export blog from ss 7 in xml import xml in wordpress use a plugin to actually import images (if not they stay on squarespace) export wordpress blog to xml Import wordress blog in advanced way with xml file in ss 7.1
  4. I managed to import a blog from wordpress, using the advanced method with the xml file. Medias from the blog post are correctly imported, but not the thumbnails though, can't understand why.
  5. Hi, I just imported a blog from wordpress, and it didn't import the thumbnails at all. Fab
  6. Hey @creedon Do you have an idea on how to do that? maybe with a webhook? ideally using an email template from campaign.. or something similar to the newsletter subscription email where you could edit the content..
  7. Hey @tuanphan, Nope, just going around the problem. Header is set as solid and only on the homepage I made the background transparent on the fixed header (and change colors and hid the logo). So it's a fix, but it's not great, can't target the cart icon to make it white only on fixed header (with the scroll back option, the header as white background when you scroll back up, so links need to be black, but then on top of the image without background, needs to be white). So best would be to be able to have a dynamic header on the homepage, and solid or whatever on the other pages..
  8. Hey @tuanphan here is the link : https://how-we-made-it.squarespace.com/ password: mcforever For now, i want on this page the header to fade when reaching the top of the page, and have the background and logo disappear, while changing links and buttons colors (to white). What i have now is a bit brutal. And it's only on this page. Rest of the site, I'll have alway the logo in place, and a white background. Cheers, Fab
  9. Looking to do the same thing. Force the dynamic header on onepage only, in order to have the header over an image only on the homepage, and have a regular one on the other pages.
  10. Ya but @paul2009 I can't see it that blank design.. never could actually. I remember I was quite excited when they announced it but I actually never saw the option 🙃
  11. Why would they do that? it's a really convenient feature to start from a blank template.. Squarespace, bring it back please! Help us design faster.
  12. Wow, didn't know about this .homepage class! thanks Paul!
  13. Sure .sqs-gallery-controls .previous:hover { background-color: transparent; } .sqs-gallery-controls .next:hover { background-color: transparent; }
  14. HI @BluFangs, You can add some css to make the background transparent; .sqs-gallery-controls .previous { background-color: transparent; } .sqs-gallery-controls .next { background-color: transparent; } Cheers, Fab
  15. Hi @SmDDB, Try this: #collection-5d01791ff7754c00012b4be8{ .site-title-link{pointer-events: none;} } Basically only on the homepage, you deactivate the possibility to have an action on click on the logo. Cheers, Fab
  16. Ya well optimization needs work here, as it displays a quite pixelated video on mobile, which in the end is not a good result. I went back to hosting video on vimeo, even if doesn't always work on mobile, I'm better of with the mobile fallback image..
  17. Bump here, got the same issue on this website: garancecreative.com (pass: mcforever)
  18. You can't load a portfolio in a summary block, can you? Summary works with blog, or commerce..
  19. Problem here is that the portfolio page doesn't allow to display images in their original format, you have to force the format. So Masonry wouldn't work. I don't actually understand why Squarespace doesn't allow that option, it would make totally sense.
  20. You can try to add !important to force it. Does it work on the post grid? .blog-item-title h1.entry-title {font-size:15px !important}
  21. Hi @IndigoBolt11, you can try to add this in design>custom css : .blog-title{font-size:15px} just adjust the value. For the blog post page, code would be: .blog-item-title h1.entry-title {font-size:15px} Best, Fab
  22. Hi @Mwaziba, I know the plugin lazy summary allows to automatically order alphabetically blog post within a summary block. Then you would have to create on your page a summary block per category, that you order manually, and all the post within would be rightly ordered. Seems the simpler to me. Cheers, Fabien
  23. Hey @Glenjobi, would you mind sharing how you set this up? Cheers, Fab
