  1. I'm trying to make my website WCAG AA compliant, and I'm having a very hard time adding ALT text to images in my product listings on shop pages. I add a product photo to a list, then Edit Metadata. I'll type descriptive ALT text, then when I click "Apply" nothing happens. It works maybe 1 in 10 tries, and I have to completely exit my browser each time I re-attempt adding ALT text. Is there a better way to add ALT text to product listing images? If someone has a code snippet that solves this problem or CSS I could add to add my ALT text manually, it would be greatly appreciated.

  2. March 2024 and still seemingly no good solution for this, Squarespace?? This is such a fundamental aspect of running an online membership, it's unbelievable that this was so completely overlooked. The workarounds that exist are completely unsatisfactory- oh I can add a newsletter signup at checkout, great. The same newsletter signup appears for every single product on my website, whether someone's subscribing to a membership or buying a sticker from my online store????? Completely useless, and the ridiculous number of hoops I'm jumping through just to get people onto a newsletter is genuinely absurd. These plans cost what now, something like $700 per year? And to make it functional I would also need to subscribe to Squarespace's completely ineffective, similarly half-baked email marketing service, too? I genuinely regret choosing Squarespace to build my membership service, I tell people to just use Patreon now. I would rather pay Patreon 12% in fees and know that my members will actually be alerted when they get new benefits every week. What a joke

  3. I'm having a similar problem selling Member Area/Digital Products subscriptions internationally. Customers from the EU that joined one of my Member Areas before I manually enabled all the EU tax rates have never been charged VAT, despite still being members charged every month now that all the EU VAT rates have been added manually. I'm scared the only solution will be to cancel all these memberships from EU customers and ask them to re-join so VAT will be collected.

  4. Is there really no way to share content between member areas/tiers or grant access to the lower tiers to higher tier members? I was going to use Member Areas with the lowest tier being behind-the-scenes access, downloadable content, and two higher tiers for a domestic and international mail club. It's really difficult for me to believe that Squarespace thinks I'm going to pay DOUBLE just for the ability to add the mail clubs onto the Member Area AND duplicate all the content I create across three separate areas, with no ability for members to interact with each other. I'm just genuinely baffled by this and have to think that I'm misunderstanding here.
