I like how my comment saying "wait until tomorrow" was marked as the solution haha.

I clearly chose an unfortunate day to design a palette, and I'm assuming the chance of it reverting is near zero now that I've fiddled around after it went black.

Not sure, have never need to contact support before, I'm just going to leave it to tomorrow and check if it's working again. Very annoying as I create a custom palette with custom themes.

I think the colour palette system broke in the last 30 minutes, have been building a site all day without problems and suddenly like yours my palette reset to black and won't change.
