Hello,
I am using Squarespace 7.0 and having trouble with cover pages. Pretty much all cover page layouts adds a white overlaying colour to the background image. I do not like this, because one of the background images is a dark photograph. I want to change it to black. I tried changing this with Custom CSS, but I am a novice and do not know how.
I am trialing Squarespace, so I have no website to link to. However, I am not too far in, so you can replicate my situation using the TRADE cover page layout for the Avenue template (though I noticed multiple 7.0 templates all use the same cover page layouts).
The styling I tried to use:
.sqs-slide-wrapper .scrim {background-color: #000; opacity: 0.7;}
It is the only line of code I put into the Custom CSS. I don't know if it needs to be contained in any way.
