Agreed I 'sold' my client on Squarespace because I knew they had a member login feature and multiple discount features but haven't found an easy solution since I've started building. Any homewares, furniture, etc type retail site offers discounts to 'trade members' like contractors & interior designers. Most of the ones I'm finding out there are using shopify or other platforms. I know SS is still building up their commerce capabilities but this sort of feature would be a game changer for them (and me lol).

Hi - I'm fairly new to commerce sites and have never applied a member site. My client is wants to have her physical products for sale direct to the public & also through a Trade Program that requires a sign up application and login. Trade Members will receive an automatic 20% discount and have access to some products that are not available on the public facing site. I'm not sure how I should set this up? I've built 90% of the site outside of the member site but when I started trying to implement the member site it gives me a whole new navigation. Is there a simpler way to go about this? As I do more research I'm getting the feeling I'll need to build two identical sites to make this happen but I'd rather not go that route as she has 100's of products and I want to avoid confusion with inventory & maintenance. Like is there a simple way to upload a product and select whether its visible only to members or all? Any suggestions? Thanks for your help, Nate
