Hello everyone. Yesterday, I removed the %s - at the beginning of my site description, because I didn't want the website name to appear first. It previously read like this in google search results:
UPTOWN LIGHTS. Eventband Schweiz. Beste Live-Unterhaltung für Hochzeiten, Galas, Partys und Firmenessen.
So, I removed %s - and I manually typed the site name at the end of my SEO site description, so it should read like this in google search:
Eventband Schweiz. Beste Live-Unterhaltung für Hochzeiten, Galas, Partys und Firmenessen. UPTOWN LIGHTS
Indeed, in my Squarespace SEO appearance settings, it now appears exactly as I want it. However, now, when I type "Uptown Lights" into Google, the above description has disappeared, and it now shows only the words uptown lights in lower case. I attach a screenshot.
According to Squarespace customer service, this could be an issue with my cache or, I need to request that Google re-index. it is definitely not a cache issue, as I have cleared my cache and besides, what is showing in the search results now, is something new, and not a the text that was there prior to yesterday's changes. The Squarespace agent told me that for her, the Google search is appearing as I want, but I have asked various friends to check and for them, they get the same result as me.
When I share my homepage via Whatsapp or Facebook, it appears as I want. But in Google search, it doesn't.
I requested Google to crawl my homepage, which has happened today, but the search is still not showing as per my changes.
Can anyone shed any light on this issue??? Thank you
