Many thanks for you help ! I modofied the code to work in reverse: .user-items-list-item-container[data-section-id="62ffdd571fe4027515d357c3"] li img { filter: grayscale(100%); } .user-items-list-item-container[data-section-id="62ffdd571fe4027515d357c3"] li:hover img { transition: 0.5s; filter: grayscale(0%); } .user-items-list-item-container[data-section-id="62ffdd571fe4027515d357c3"] .user-items-list-carousel__slide { pointer-events: initial !important; } The Transition property also makes it a little more elegant. Cool and thank you for your time !

The following page shows a simple way to achieve a greyscale solution, but I cannot seem to get it to work on the carousel: #user-items-list-carousel__slides user-items-list-carousel__slides--initialized:hover img {filter: grayscale(50%)}

Is it possible to apply a black and white filter by default to the desktop version of a Testimonial carousel so that only on a mouse-over event would an item fade into full colour ?

"minutes" showing up for a single minute
Bertie replied to Bertie's topic in Getting Started With Squarespace
It's a real maze to achieve that, why is the customer service form so convoluted ?! -
This one seems to have slipped through the net, under Appointments, whereby the plural is used over the singular for a single minute listing.

Thanks codeAndTonic for the info on this. Once again, Squarespace seems to be a little under developed in certain areas, and I would have expected this to be snapped up already, it seems like such an obvious omission. In fact, when adding imagery, there should be a dark/light option.

For anybody with time I would like to request you review our website: pastille.london We sell services through Acuity Schedular, but some need to be requested and so there is no price, as it is negotiable. We also have a WhatsApp chat module 09:00-21:00 (GMT) mon-sun. We have gone for a lightweight look, stylish and unfussy. Please let me know if the structure makes sense, if it's easy to navigate, and any other feedback. Many thanks !

Yes, I noticed that change. Very glad to see it. It's good that these boards are monitored.

This feature looks very complicated, I just expected it to work. Surely this could be managed by the system ?

Why when changing a Page's "URL Slug" do any corresponding links not update with the change ? Would it not be better to have symbolic links, rather than actual hard coded ones ?
-
I am not familliar with CSS, I take it then that I could have something similar to the colour paletes on the GUI side of Squarespace and just link to the colour profile I wanted ? Basically, I wanted one set of colours for one page, and another for a different one. Is that possible using id's please i.e. page specific.

Using CSS to customise Acuity Scheduling, I would like to know if it is possible to apply such changes to individual pages, rather than globally ? ref: https://developers.acuityscheduling.com/docs/css-customization

I did as you advised, however, for the benefit of others I shall maintain the stream of improvement suggestions and perhaps others will add their own. Public forums are a well known treasure trove of ideas and I cannot believe that Squarespace would reject them.

Why isn't the media manager integrated into Appointment Types ?
-
One positive aspect that I will state is the semi-hidden feature of being able to click anywhere on a image in list view to check the box. This is always a nice feature as it can be tricky and annoying to check a small box, so please do keep that UI feature.
-
Another nice feature would be to filter by an option to see which graphics are not in use, that would make it easier to winkle out the duplicates.
-
Another thing I just noticed was that the search is not real time, character by character, again, which most have come to expect.
-
I notice a message box explaining that if a graphic is deleted that it make break links on my site. Why not have those links made known for a richer experience; giving the user a greater understanding of their past/forgotten actions. It is not uncommon for site managers to enable crawlers to search for broken links, but this being media, on a tightly managed platform, would allow for more than that, with page previews and substitutions right from the media manager.

Media management is a basic entitlement if you ask me, especually for a content upload platform, how SquareSpace is now at its seventh itteration with minimal changes to this relationship with its customer base is a mystery to me. Even now in 2022 I must use a hack just to get access to the media manager, only to find the selection option applies to a single file at a time i.e. if I want to delete on mass (which is the only function that I can see the selection option is there for, hastily bolted on by their design team under pressure) I must do so one at a time. It would be quicker to delete apps from a smartphone pressing and holding down on each one for a few seconds. Media management is a core feature that everybody needs to visit at some point, it needs to be fully featured and quick to manage. I would even like it to sync directly with a local folder so that changes could be perrformed even quicker, but I suspect that is a little much to ask. However, it's a lacking feature.
