This sounds like the issue I'm having. I recently added a search box to my store page. The search results were coming back mostly with text only. I figure out that if I selected a featured image for each product, the image would appear in the search results. So far, so good.
HOWEVER, I now want to change some of the images that show up in the search results. I have gone back to the product page, completely removed the old featured image from the product page, and selected a new thumbnail. No matter what I do, the old thumbnail image shows up in the search results. Is this simply not fixable? That seems absurd. The image is no longer on my product page. Why does it still show in the search results? Is there ANYTHING I can do to change this, short of deleting the product and starting over? What am I missing?
Thanks for any help you can give. And I know the search engine isn't great. I'm not expecting sophisticated searching. But it seems very BASIC to expect the search results to reflect what's actually on my site.
