Images not accepted in Newsletter Campaigns?

Hi,
I'm trying to design a newsletter but it won't let me upload images. I'm trying with .png and .jpg files and I have a pop up that says it can't upload those files because they "system files".
Has this happened to anyone else? Like I said no .jpg or .png seems to work at all.
