Connecting Domains

Hi, I am new here and I have an Ecwid website. I have my domain on Ecwid and I want to keep Ecwid. I am trying to decide if I connect the same domain on squarespace will it direct people to squarespace or Ecwid? Or is it all in one? Do I need a subdomain or is everything good.
