I want to hide this menu I made on the page that sorts by categories. When someone clicks a category, I want just the blogs to load without this menu at the top. Thanks so much!

I built a little menu at the top of the page that will display the blogs within a specific category, and I want that displaying on the /writings page. But when someone clicks it and goes to say, /writings/category/travel I want just the blogs to show without this menu. Any help would be amazing. Thank you!

Yes, I'd like to make the image take up the entire left half of the screen on desktop and top half on mobile with no borders.

If you see my gallery on mobile, it's very narrow. I'd like the portfolio images to appear taller, seeing fewer on the screen, like the examples I listed above. Thanks so much.

I'm trying to get it to scale relatively, similar to their galleries. I'm added code I've found on this forum to get this far, but it may be pretty ugly behind the scenes.
