Thank you @creedon! That pretty much does it! I'm very grateful you showed me how without adding more custom code. I think for now 'sold out' works. Do you know if there is a way to drop 'out' so it just says 'sold'?

No worries @tuanphan, I just added this sold painting to my shop:

I can't see how to mark it as sold, other than in the description.

Hello
With thanks for your help to add custom code to hide the 'add to cart' button in my shop, I'm now wanting to know how to add a red dot or a way to show an item is sold in the shop.
I mentioned in my question yesterday that I want to have the shop without the ecommerce. Hiding 'add to cart' and not setting up a check out is basically what I want, but it would be great to add a red dot to art that recently sold if I can.
In case you need to know the code I'm using for hiding add-to-cart, this is what has been injected currently vai Design > Custom CSS:
.sqs-add-to-cart-button-wrapper {
display: none !important;

Hello ghostplugins, thank you so much!!
Someone provided me some code last night, from a different platform and it seemed to work. I paste below in case it helps others.
I'll try yours ghostplugins if this one stops working! (and maybe it will stop working, as Fluid Engine rolls out to the shop).
.sqs-add-to-cart-button-wrapper {display: none !important;} -

Hello everyone, I'm trying to work out a way to have an online shop or section for my 'available art' for sale, but without the online check out and ecommerce. The SQSP shop set up is ideal if I can just hide the 'add to cart' button.
I've searched around this forum and found paul2009's code from April 2022 which he said add to Design>Custom CSS, but when I do this, the button is still visible (including when I'm logged out/viewing as the public would). I paste the code I tried below so you can all see it.
I don't want my shop live until I get all this sorted, but I think you need to be able to see it to help me troubleshoot, so I have made it live but it's not showing in my site navigation. You can see at https://drkmcb.com/shop
Thank you!
.ProductItem-details .sqs-add-to-cart-button-wrapper { display: none!important; }

Thank you very much @paul2009 for your answer, that all makes total sense. One question, is the code you provided in April at the top still what you'd suggest to hide the 'add to cart' button? We're adding at the Design>Custom CSS area, but the button still appears (have checked when logged out for what the public would see too).

Hey @TMPart I ended up connecting the domain I bought through GoDaddy. Kinda glad I did, as I suspect it will end up being costly to keep it through SQPS (esp given they keep increasing their fees so much). Connecting was pretty easy and it hasn't been an issue since I did it in January!

Hi @paul2009 if we use custom code like this one, and SQSP updates their product code in a way that requires updating the custom code, do you know if there's a way for us as to know where the updated custom code would be?
I'm currently trying to set up my first online shop without the online buying function, so want to hide the 'add to cart' button... and am concerned that if I use this custom code above, SQSP will change something and I wont know what to do. Noob I know.
Thanks also for sharing the code above!
I'm on 7.1 at https://drkmcb.com/

Thanks @paul2009 I appreciate you taking the time to reply. It sounds like there aren't any stand-out benefits to transferring a domain to SQSP. I'll give connecting it a go to start!

Hi folks, I'm setting up my first SQSP website (so the above link isn't live) and a noob to creating websites.
I am at the point where I need to decide if I should transfer or connect my domain, which I own via GoDaddy. I read SQSP recommends transferring, but I'm having hesitations about it being tied to SQSP.
Some areas I have questions about for this decision include
- cost eg I think SQSP will cost more in future than GoDaddy, in which case staying there makes sense. However, in the first year I believe for an annual plan, SQSP will give a credit so that the transferred domain is essentially free (and I plan to sign up for 1 year)
- Flexibility to leave SQSP in future - I have read some people have had issues moving their domains from SQSP, not sure how widespread that is though
- What's in it for SQSP for them to recommend transfer? I've not seen any justification for their recommendation to transfer beyond managing it in the same area as my website - which hasn't been a paint point so far
- ease/speed of getting started - it sounds like connecting is easier and faster than transferring
I'd really appreciate your advice and/or your experience on making this decision. Thank you!

Thank you so much @creedon, you're a champion! I had to remove the <style> at the start and end, and then it worked. I just popped it underneath the other syntax there to hide the button. I'm very grateful thank you!
