Removing or Hide 'Price' and 'Add to Cart' Button

I would like to use the store page to display images - as I really like the format and hover state etc - but I don't want to sell products. I would like to removing the price placeholder and 'add to cart' Button. I have tried adding the below code to the Custom CSS and the page header code injection as per this older link but it didn't work. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!
