Image titles within gallery not showing on mobile
noobiedesign replied to MattReynoldsPhotography's topic in Mobile
Hi, thanks for your response. Dot on the bottom right of what/where? -
Site URL: https://www.kroschlab.com/people-test Hello, This gallery looks how I want it to look, but the text display requires hovering (i.e., the hover effect) which is not compatible with mobile browsing. Is there a way to differentiate between mobile and web browsing, so that the hover effect is off on mobile, but remains on computer browsing. Note that there are two hover effects, that which shows before clicking on the image (just image title), and that which shows after clicking on the image (image title and description). Thanks!

I resolved this by overlaying a background that was identical to the hover background, and displaying the text using opacity. .yui3-lightbox2 .sqs-lightbox-meta { opacity: 1 !important; background-color: rgba(0,0, 0, 0.7); }

None of the solutions work for me! https://www.kroschlab.com/people-test I have all of this CSS code for the lightbox already, although I don't think it is relevant //in gallery grid, set a hover over slide effect to display slide title on partially transparent overlay .yui3-lightbox2 .sqs-lightbox-meta { opacity: 1 !important; background-color: rgba(0,0, 0, 0.7); } /* Show lightbox caption on mobile */ @media screen and (max-width: 767px) { div#page-5e4d74c3723f3b201b6ae57e figcaption.image-caption-wrapper,div#page-5e4d98e00c9a2e591ab4d6f5 figcaption.image-caption-wrapper,div#page-5e4d98ee6d9f2254fac4fbd2 figcaption.image-caption-wrapper { opacity:1 !important; visibility: visible !important; position: relative !important; padding-top: 5px !important; padding-bottom: 0 !important } } .sqs-gallery.sqs-gallery-design-grid .slide .margin-wrapper .image-slide-title { position: absolute; bottom: 0; width: 100%; height: 0; color: white; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5); opacity: 0; transition: all .25s ease-in; } .sqs-gallery.sqs-gallery-design-grid .slide .margin-wrapper:hover .image-slide-title { height: 20%; opacity: .9; } -
Site URL: https://www.kroschlab.com/people-test Hello, I need to keep the hover effect for this gallery grid, but I would like to remove it when the images in the grid are clicked on (i.e., within the Lightbox), is there an option for this? Here is the webpage: https://www.kroschlab.com/people-test Note how the hover effect occurs when you are in grid view (I want), but it also occurs when you click on the images and are in the Lightbox (I don't want). In summary: is there a way to show text in the Lightbox without requiring a hover-over?

How do I create a hover text over my grid gallery?
noobiedesign replied to sira's topic in Customize with code
Also wondering this. I need both the title and description shown on the hover. Basically, the same thing you get when you do slideshow gallery and toggle the hover option. -
How can I remove the site title on my homepage?

How can I remove the site title on my homepage?

For some reason this doesn't work for me. I am using the Impact template. I want the top "The Social...." gone because it is redundant. -
Accordion Dropdown gets rid of background images
noobiedesign replied to noobiedesign's topic in Pages & Content
Thanks so much! This fixes it for the next section (What We Study). Subsequent sections have a photo as the background ("media"), they still turn gray. Can this be addressed with CSS as well? -
Site URL: http://www.kroschlab.com Hello everyone. I am using the Impact template on Squarespace version 7.0. I am using an accordion block on my homepage. I titled it "Lab News & Events". Note how beneath the block, the next section on my homepage has a green background. After I expand the accordion, the background goes away (I think it goes to the default background of the site). See how "What we study" now has a gray background. Subsequent sections also have their backgrounds removed and replaced to this gray. Is there a fix for this? Thanks.
