Want to remove shopping cart on right and no transparent background while scrolling

Also with this template, as you scroll down, the nav logo stays in place as you scroll, but I'd like to have a solid background so that the nav type and content type don't blend together as you scrool. Hope that makes sense.

I'd like to either lock it at the top or set it so it doesn't have a transparent background. Can't find anything about the nav scroll in the settings. Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated!
I'd like to take off the date in the FOUNDRY blog posts and replace it with the first CATEGORY of the post. Is that possible?

Basically, where it says FEB 9, I'd like that to instead show NEOMODERNISM, or the category. Is this possible? Thank you!
