  1. Hi! Thank you for responding! So I don't want the whole section - just 3 sentences. I want to leave the rest of the section as-is. And the blockID is correct - I just copied it from that id-finding chrome extension. Would be very grateful for any other suggestions!
  2. Hi all! There are a few sentence in italics on my website - looks great on the computer. But I want those sentence *not* to be in italics on mobile view. I'm trying this code (below) but it's not working. I would so appreciate any help. Thank you! @media screen and (max-width:767px) p2 { div#block-46fb0b3b0ec8b69d2b6c { font-style: normal !important; } }
  3. this worked perfectly - thank you so much! (I had the same problem)
  4. This works perfectly. Thank you again so much for your generosity with your expertise!!
  5. Ah got it... it blinks repeatedly (like it doesnt stop blinking unless you just close the browser) so then I think I'll just go back to your original script and forgo the text that I wanted to appear. Thanks for all your help 🙂
  6. Paul, thank you so much! So, the header is gone, but the footer is now blank white space (the rest is grey) - if there's no fix for that then worst case scenario I can just make the whole page white so it blends. But the page is blinking not when I'm logged on - it's blinking when I try to open my site's URL (ie, I'm not logging on to squarespace to access the site, but rather just going straight to my website)... Do you know if there's any fix for this? I hope so!
  7. Ah, the site is also blinking for some reason now that i put in the url for my browser-warning page... not sure how to stop it. This is the code updated with that page's url: <script type="application/javascript"> if (/MSIE|Trident/.test(window.navigator.userAgent)) window.location.href = 'https://www.xxxx-xxxx.com/browser-warning'; </script> <script> var $buoop = {required:{e:-4,f:-3,o:-3,s:-1,c:-3},insecure:true,api:2021.12 }; function $buo_f(){ var e = document.createElement("script"); e.src = "//browser-update.org/update.min.js"; document.body.appendChild(e); }; try {document.addEventListener("DOMContentLoaded", $buo_f,false)} catch(e){window.attachEvent("onload", $buo_f)} </script>
  8. Thank you so much! This is perfect. So now that I made a page for the browser warning message, the page shows my header and footer (and allows for navigation on the site). If you have time, do you know how I can exclude the header/footer from this page? Thank you again for sharing your expertise!!
  9. But if I add a new page, then it shows up in my navigation bar. Am I doing something wrong? I just don't know how to add a new page and not have it show on my site.
  10. Hi Paul - this is working great! But the only thing is that it's coming up as a blank page. How do I add text? (I want to tell the user that this browser doesn't support myself and direct them to download chrome, firefox, etc.)
  11. Hi Paul - thanks very much for your response! I can't just put the code in a markdown block? If not, then I'll just upgrade to business. Would you be able to tell me what to do assuming that I have a business plan?
  12. I'm really hoping someone can help me with this. I'm looking for code (presumably javascript) that will prevent my site from running on Internet Explorer (and instead will show a message similar to the attached image). And if someone could walk me through how to do this, that'd be great - I don't currently have a business account on squarespace, so if I can't do this in a markdown block then I'll just upgrade to a business plan. Thanks very much in advance!
  13. Ah sorry I found how to do this in the built-in editor in squarespace
  14. Hi all! I want to rotate a background image by about 20 degrees, but squarespace's built-in editor will only let me rotate the image by 90 degrees in either direction. Does anyone know some code I can put in that will allow me to rotate the image as much or as little as I want? Thank you!
  15. Thank you! This seems to have fixed the problem (I had same problem as OP)
  16. Hi! I'm trying to do the same thing as OP - I put this in the caption but it's not working for me. Is there something else I should be doing to make it work? I saw that OP wrote something about enabling HTML... didn't really understand that. Thank you!
  17. Ah ok got it-- So the link is: https://cat-dogfish-ngsk.squarespace.com/ And the password i created is: 101010 The page I'm having trouble with is the "due diligence reports" page under "services" (services>due diligence reports). There is an image and a text box if you scroll down - they're side by side but a) they're not the same height, and b) i want there to be zero space between them and the margins of the computer - like total full width. Thank you again so much!
  18. Thank you so much for answering! My site isn't yet published, so I'm not sure how to share the link (so sorry - I'm pretty new to squarespace)
  19. Hi all! I'd really love some help with this. How do I get an image block to be full width (I'm putting it next to a text block) so that there are zero margins and zero padding - ie, so that the image itself extends from its border with the text block to the end of the screen without any spaces on the top/bottom/either of the sides? and also so that it looks good both on desktop and mobile? Struggling with this for days! Thank you so much!
  20. Hi! Did anyone get this answered? I have the same question, but for a "simple list" block. Thank you!!
