I've been trying to tweak this for hours using a few different approaches and just can't get it right. 

I'm trying to make the upper half of this text highlight flush with the section above it, but because the entire site is responsive its hard to maintain. I figured one solution may be to set the z-index of that text to below the z-index of the background of the section above it but I can't get that to work.

Attaching how it should look vs how it does look pictures.

I'm trying to get the image links from the first section to display side-by-side on mobile. So far my limited CSS knowledge has only left me tinkering and frustrated. Ideally I'd also be able to replicate this on the store product page as well.

Any help!?
