  1. Thanks @paul2009

Bummer. I was really hoping a fancy bit of code could trick the summary block into displaying the folio items.

The blog layout isn't flexible enough for my needs—I've essentially built a mini page for each project with sections and various elements. So it looks like sticking with the old gallery is the way to go for now.

At least I know definitely now. Fingers crossed the folios get a tickle-up in the next update.

  2. Thanks for responding Paul,

Essentially I'm hoping to get a dynamic feed on the home page that is created by the items in my folio's sub-pages. I have currently gotten around this by using a static, isolated gallery with links to each item to the portfolio sub-pages.  If I update the folio with a new sub-page (project), I have to manually add this to the isolated galleries on two different pages: (https://www.formationcreative.co.nz/) and (https://www.formationcreative.co.nz/graphic-design-services)

The summary block does this for blog posts, so I was surprised to find that it didn't cater for folio items too.

Do you think that there is a way to trick the summary block into displaying items from the folio?

  3. Hi all,

I've been searching for a while to try and find any workaround to display my folio in the same way the summary block does for a blog. I hear rumours that it might be coming as an 8.0 feature, but have not heard anything concrete...

This and being able to disable portfolio sub-pages would be two MASSIVE improvements to the portfolio for Squarespace in my opinion.

TLDR: Help me preview some folio sub-pages in a summary block, please!
