Hi there, I'm helping a client swap their domain from GoDaddy to Squarespace. They have an existing Google Workspace account for this domain, and emails through it (i.e. - hello@example.com). If Example.com swaps from GoDaddy to SQSP, will the Google Workspace swap with it? Do I need to do anything there? Thanks

Thanks so much for your reply @paul2009! I think because I'm not all that confident using FE, I'm still not sure what is user error, and what is behaving the way it should (and what's not)!? The row stretch for example - is that what's supposed to happen? It doesn't always seem to behave in the same way for me (though I do need to really use it more and get more comfortable with it). I was just about to post a thread asking for advice on mobile layout so I'll add it here. Does anyone find Fluid Engine a bit buggy? Or am I doing something wrong? I worked to get the mobile section as close as possible to the desktop on a client site, sent it to them for review, and they've come back with a lot of small mistakes that I swear weren't there when I finished it. I don't know whether it's because they're changing things and not noticing that it's affecting the mobile layout (ie user error), but it's driving me crazy.

I actually just played around and fixed it - I removed .page-section and it seems to have worked?! So changing .section-background to .section-border seems to have solved it. Thanks

Hi there, I got some code to create an animated film-grain effect, but I don't love how intense it is. The CSS involves adding a URL for the overlay, but I don't recognise the format. (See below). I've tried creating my own transparent, grainy .png and uploading it to the custom file section, but you can see it moving around (because of the animation, I guess). Does anyone have any ideas? Or is there some way to convert my .png url so it's in the correct format? That's good to know, and I'd never considered the collection items etc. My issue is mainly that they think it's "so much easier" (which it can be), but they're not looking at different devices and some of the spacing makes my eyes water. Hi all, I'm wondering what the best practice is around a site that is already built in Classic editor – is it ok to start using Fluid engine on new sections, or best just to stick to Classic? I know it can cause some code to need adjustment so I'm happy to keep sites all one (either Classic of Fluid), but this is for a client site and they work with another freelancer who is keen to use Fluid. I guess I just want to be able to say best practice is to stick to one, and stop messing with it 😂 Thanks

I'm not sure what's going on with this site I manage for a client: https://www.birminghamearlyyearsnetworks.org/ I didn't build it, but I took over content management and have been trying to clean up some of the code. (I'm not hugely experienced in this area, I'm ok with CSS but not with JS). A few weird things have happened, and I'm not sure if they're related. First, the client said today they started receiving a lot of spam attempts at newsletter sign-ups (and emails from Squarespace – "Mailchimp didn't save your recent Form Block submission". I set up Google reCaptcha this evening, thinking that might help. I'm not sure if it had, but since then, the home page is all messed up when you're logged in. It's fine online, thankfully, but none of the pages are editable. I'm freaking out slightly, I can't think what on earth I've done that would cause this. All I did was add the API keys?! Edited to add - weirdly, I've just noticed that when the CSS panel is open, it's editable and looks fine? Any help is hugely appreciated.

Sorry to butt in, but can I ask how you find the URL for a video like it is above? I found some custom code to allow a video to autoplay, and it includes a video link like the one here (beginning https://video.squarespace-cdn.com/...). However I obviously want to be able to add my own video. I see the video in this thread is set as a background, but I can't for the life of me find out how to recreate the link! I hope this makes sense. Any help appreciated.

Hey @paul2009 sorry to be a total pain, but I have another question. I realised it made more sense to have the dark logo be standard and apply the JavaScript on the home page only. I've uploaded the dark version to the site title and logo section and then tried swapping out the image url of the logo using the code you provided, but it's not changing anything. When I inspect the code and hover over the png, I can see that although the file name is correct, it's still showing the dark blue version (see attached screenshot). I hope this all makes sense. Any help appreciated, thank you!

Oops @paul2009 spoke too soon - just one thing, it doesn't appear to be working on other media sizes, just desktop (I've only checked on iPad and mobile but they're still showing the old pale version).
