Ok, it seems this feature is non-existent. Regretting so much having signed up with squarespace, how can it be missing such a basic feature???

Completely ridiculous this is a paid feature, when other website builders offer this for free! So much regret in sign up up with squarespace...

Came to thumbs up this. It's a total BS that they have removed gallery blocks, and now I have to pay for a stupid plug-in to have it back??? This is unreal... If it wasn't for the trouble of moving sites, I would have left Squarespace! Dammed day I choose to sign up...

Hi all, I am having the same issue. From what I have read, gallery blocks were removed, and the only option is section. But if I make a new section then I am unable to add a text block (or any other block) to that section. Kate's add-on seems to be a good replacement option, but I find it ridiculous I have to pay for something that was removed...
