Hi, I am encountering a huge limitation with Squarespace as it does not seem to be possible to add different tax rates depending on product or product category.
In Germany, food and books are taxed with 7%, everything else is taxed with 19%. But Squarespace only gives me one fixed tax rate. (Which means I am losing 12% of my sales in the above mentioned categories.)
Huge bummer, as this makes the platform incompatible with the German market.
Is there any way to work around this? Or is Squarespace planning to fix this?

Agree- this is definity something that needs attention. I sell product (taxable in my state) as well as a non taxable service (such as a workshop) that does not get taxed.  My only option is to refund the sales tax to those who purchase a non taxable workshop-not ideal! 
Please add a feature to make this possible! Thank you! 

I've asked SquareSpace for the same thing. They should give users the options to override tax.

Hi, I am selling both food items and pottery on my site. The food items do not need to be taxed in california but the pottery does. I can't figure out how to apply taxes to only certain items though. Is there any kind of work around for this?
