  1. Yes please, I have been trying to work it out. I ended up deleting the styles I had added. What I have been trying to achieve is having the same height on the containers, irrespective of the character count. As we have both discovered it has ended up a bit of a basket case. What I have been trying to achieve is this: Desktop: Tablet: Mobile (single column): But things haven't gone to plan. Can you offer any suggestions? I had added the likes of: .BlogList-item {height: 53vh! important;} with media queries based on device width, but it quickly got out of control. I could this site helpful, as I don't have many devices to test on: http://whatismyscreenresolution.net/multi-screen-test?site-url=https://www.cleanplate.co.nz/blog&w=1920&h=1200 Any suggestions would be valuable as I would like regulars height containers, but with the variable character count, I don't know if it would be possible. Thanks @tuanphan
  2. @tuanphan - I am going good now, thanks. Thanks for asking.
  3. I have found this page a help: https://mkwcreative.co/blog/card-style-summary-blocks-squarespace
  4. Hi @tuanphan Thanks for your speedy, but I wish it were that simple - see below. The padding is easy, but containing the spread of the background-color, I am finding difficult. But I am going to give this tutorial I have since found a go.
  5. Site URL: https://www.cleanplate.co.nz/home Hi There, What I would like to achieve is something like the following images - adding a background colour to the UI card, and adjusting the padding so that the text sits inside the card on the Blog Carousel and the Blog Landing Page, but I am not sure how to achieve it as I can't see the classes to target. Any suggestions welcome. a) Blog Carousel on the home page https://www.cleanplate.co.nz/home b) Blog Landing Page https://www.cleanplate.co.nz/blog
  6. I haven't had a response from PDF Flip as to why the toolbar isn't responsive - no surprises there. In terms of what PDF Flip says it does on the box - it's performance responsively doesn't stack up.
  7. Hello, I have come to my own conclusion here. I don't think that I will get any success if I did try to edit the CSS via Javascript to make the toolbar responsive, as what I have found by using the Chrome inspector mobile viewpoint width emulator, is that PDF Flip is not completely mobile-friendly. This is with using the PDF Flip not in an iframe, as well as within an iframe The book itself is responsive, but the toolbar below it is not. Even on PDF Flip's own "serving suggestions" the toolbar screws up depending on the width. The examples I have attached are from PDF Flip's own website. You can see for yourself that is is not great. I have reached out to the via their support portal - but I don't expect to get much help. I have found their support to be not that great. With the time zone difference between NZ and what I am guessing is Russia, the turn around for a response via email is annoying. If I don't get the detail I need then it is another 24 hours before I get a response. I have tried to get on a call with them so I can make sure all of my questions get answered, but - they don't do calls, only offer support via email. My client has emailed PDF Flip to ask them about their refund policy, but they haven't responded.
  8. Hi, Yes @paul2009 the third party service does respond (scale) correctly when I access it directly from mobile. I have since read that CSS in an iframe can be targeted via Javascript. Is it poss to add Javascript via Version 7.0? Thanks
  9. Site URL: https://www.cleanplate.co.nz/e-cookbook Hi There, I am working on a page for a client where we have embedded and externally hosted PDF Flip eBook into an iframe. I have noticed that while on desktop, everything looks fine, but on mobile, the ui controls gets trimmed off at either side in spite of the overall width of the iframe being set at 100%. The classes I want to target are (I think): .pdff-ui-wrapper .pdff-ui-controls with of width of 99% for mobile or suchlike But using the CSS editor within Squarespace, it doesn't recognize the classes as they are not 'native' to the project. Does anyone know of a quick fix for this or another way apart from how I have added the iframe? I have looked online and am a bit confused. Best regards.
  10. I got a response from PDF Flip: Hi, Weebly, Squarespace or Wix are just accounts and they do not offer web hosting. PDF Flip is a self hosting app and it need a web hosting account to be uploaded to. A workaround is to upload it on a 3rd part website with a web hosting and embed into your ending page. Here is an recent example where we helped a client with uploading the flipbook on our website so they can embed into a squarespace account: https://justinbishop.com.au/flipbook Kind Regards, I am waiting to find out if there is an additional charge for PDF Flip to host this for us. Otherwise, I am trying out some other options. Thanks for your support so far.
  11. @tuanphan do you have any experience with this? I am trying to self-host a flipbook on my client's Squarespace V7.0 site. PDF Flip send a folder which is to be added to the site - it has .css .js etc in it to run the flipbook. I have downloaded and unzipped the file supplied by PDF Flip, and replaced their PDF with mine (same name for the pdf file). I am at a loss as to where I can add the folder to the site. I understand a bit about Squarespace - as in I can add pdfs, images and so on. I know I can upload a zip file, but what I need to add is the folder above. Is this something that could happen under "developer tools"? Best regards.
  12. Site URL: https://www.cleanplate.co.nz/ Hi There, My client has a Brine 'Rally' template and at the mo it has a Subscribe to the newsletter footer. She want it to be a contact details footer. What is the best approach? Is the Subscribe form hard-coded into the Rally template? Or can I switch footer styles somehow? Appreciate your help. Best regards,
  13. I have answered this myself - I have realized without knowing enough about how Squarespace works, I had gone down a rabbit hole. What I need is Index pages to break up my content. Hopefully I'll ask a more rich question next time!
  14. Hi, I am working on a Version 7 site and I am a new kid on the block. I am more of a code editor, than a developer. I want to make some CSS changes but I am finding the my lack of understanding the format really irritating. I can create a text block element, and drop an image onto it. I want to target the whole thing so I can put background styles on it, style the text (so it can be used as a module across the site). But I can't see how to target the whole thing. The is a blockyui for the text, and a blockyui for the image, they are not nested (prob injected), there are classes, but I can't seem to target the whole block. I don't know what to do on this one. Can someone help please? Thanks
  15. Site URL: https://www.cleanplate.co.nz/blog/mussel-egg-foo-yung Hi, I am working on a Version 7 site, and the client has asked me if there is away to imbed recipe card in her blog pages. At the moment she adds the recipe into her page, then has to create and format a pdf with the recipe that she then adds to the site, with a 'print' button. She finds this annoying she needs to do formatting twice: once on the site, and then again for the pdf. Seems like fairly reasonable request, but I can't see a way of doing it. Is there a better way to do this using a native template (I am an new kid on the Squarespace block), or should I be looking at an integration via a third party? Thanks heaps.
  16. I'd ask the usability experts: https://www.nngroup.com/videos/scrolling-information-foraging/?lm=illusion-completeness&pt=youtubevideo
