Fixed it! For anyone else needing info, the way I did it, perhaps not the best way but works, was to toggle the visibility on each category. Then, create a text block at the top of main shop page, with links to the categories.
Would like to be able to fix this new menu to the bottom of the header, so it doesn't scroll away...if anyone knows how?
