  1. @Excel_Questions Great, sounds like you understood what I meant!😃
  2. I think you did a great job with your website @d.coimbra! You check many boxes for good design. The content, colors and structure are good. 🌟 Here are a few (minor) things you can change to make it better: Make the start image (hero image) and "Lët'z Arles since 2017" background more narrow. Make the font size a bit bigger on "Discover the 2021 edition", and make the images a bit smaller there.
  3. I like the idea😊 I also think you can do much more with what you show on the first page. Instead of explaining what Excel questions is, why not just show them? What I would do is to remove most of the text on the homepage and replace it with some examples and questions. Then the visitors can jump right in to the action!
  4. Hey @BrumeuxArt! I like the art you have there, feels unique and "mystic". I also like how you choose the black background color, which fits well with your art. In terms of improving the landing page, if you "cleaning it up" a bit I think more potential customers will click over to the online store. These are some improvements: Change the blue lines to black (as background). The text "Hello and welcome..." is too wide which makes it hard to read. I would bake it much more narrow. Also you could add more spacing around it to make it more intriguing to read. Increase font sizes, especially the smallest texts. Good luck!😃
  5. @Aashini oh my bad, forgot to add something. Try this: <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.5.0/jquery.min.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function() { $('#sqs-cart-container').after('<div class="tuan"> By continuing to checkout, you have<br/>read and agreed to our <strong><a style="color: #7a6e65;" href="https://frillup.ch/terms-and-conditions" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Terms and Conditions</a></strong></div>'); }); </script> <style> .tuan { display: block; height: auto; text-align: left; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: transparent; font-size: 1.1rem; line-height: 1.5em; margin-top: -82px; margin-bottom: 300px; } </style>
  6. If you add a new topic in "Feedback on Your Site", we can take a look at it😊
  7. Nice website! I like the typography, it fits well with the purpose. Also, spacing and layout looks great😊 This is what I would improve: As someone else said, some of the images are very low resolution. I use Let's Enhance to increase resolution, you can try it here: https://letsenhance.io "DID YOU SEARCH “PERSONAL TRAINERS NEAR ME”?" This text is a bit weird so I would change it to something else. Or do most of your visitors come from this search term?
  8. Nice website @FrankEdinburgh! I think you did a great job, it checks many boxes for good design, structure and layout👍 Two improvements: The text over the start image (hero-image) is a bit hard to read. Solution: Move the man more to the right and left-align your text. For most parts the website looks great, but sometimes it can be a bit boring. One thing you could do is to add animations to your background images. Do this by: Edit block > Background > Animation.
  9. @Aashini The code I posted is not the same, I updated it😃 $('.sqs-cart-container').after 👆This change is where the magic happen.
  10. I think your thoughts are good @JoseP, this is pretty much what I try to do too. For personal sites, I try to focusing on personality and on businesses a "how we came to be" story is good. What I can add to this is that images are very important. Good images greatly amplifies the message.
  11. Looks like a Squarespace bug to me, so I would contact Squarespace support if I were you😊
  12. It depends on where you want the text to display, but try this😊 <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.5.0/jquery.min.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function() { $('.sqs-cart-container').after('<div class="tuan"> By continuing to checkout, you have<br/>read and agreed to our <strong><a style="color: #7a6e65;" href="https://frillup.ch/terms-and-conditions" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Terms and Conditions</a></strong></div>'); }); </script> <style> .tuan { display: block; height: auto; text-align: left; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: transparent; font-size: 1.1rem; line-height: 1.5em; margin-top: -82px; margin-bottom: 300px; } </style>
  13. It is possible, but you'll have to use custom css😊 Add it in Design > Custom CSS. Change link spacing (change the value to your liking): .header-nav .header-nav-item--folder .header-nav-folder-content .header-nav-folder-item { line-height: 2 !important; } Change sub-menu color (change color to your liking): .header-nav-folder-content { background: #febf00 !important; } If you don't want to use custom code: I'm currently working on a plugin where you can change above very easily (without coding). If you are interested, you can read more about it here: sparkplugin.com 😃
  14. A better approach might be to send them an email first describing gdpr and then asking ”if you dont want to recieve any more mails, reply to this email”? Then you dont have to deal with techy stuff. And you will definateley keep more of the users in the email list😊
  15. Adding image caption is enough😊 @thesimpleexplorer even hidden image captions will be added as alt-text in Squarespace.
  16. Good explanation from @GlynMusica. Getting traffic from Google is hard and takes time. Just one thing I can add: Since you are new, focus on optimizing your homepage with phrases. The homepage has a much higher chance to rank high. I managed to get on top 10 with my websites homepage, but only top 100 with the same strategies on other pages. Good luck!😃
  17. 1. Add this to ”Custom CSS”: .disable-select { -webkit-touch-callout: none; user-select: none; } 2. Add this class to the embed code (iframe tag), should look something like this: <iframe class=”disable-select”> Let me know if it works😊
  18. Nice website @monocle.jasmin! I don't have any specific improvement to be honest so I will just tell you what I like 😉 Full-width looks great on your website. Nice mix between text and images in the beginning of the website. I like how everything animates and fades in.
  19. Good job making your website, I think it looks professional and the structure is good😃 Regarding how welcoming it feels, I think there are some improvements to make. My first impression were more hard/professional than warm/welcoming. Here is what you can do: Change the font to something softer. No sharp edges on the font, maybe a more "written" type of font? Change the hero (start) image on the homepage. Yes it has nice hearts, but my first impression of it was kind of hard. Use a photo with some warmer colors like brown or beige. Change your main colors from grey to brown and beige. Or some else warm colors that you like. I hope this is helpful, good luck with your counselling!
  20. I like the look and feel of your website. The structure is good too😊 Regarding improvements - having very wide text boxes is bad for design and readability (for example under "What people say"). This is easy to fix: Change the content width to S or M. Or drag a spacer item on either side of the text. Let me know if you have any problems fixing it👍
  21. Good job with your website! An improvement would be to give more information on your homepage. What I would do: Take the information from "Who am I" and add it to the homepage. Make the text "Andre Soares. Author. Screenwriter. Stage & Film Actor." bigger like a heading. Good luck👍
  22. I have found using a live chat is a great way to connect with your customers. There are so many things I have learned just by chatting with my customers. Most of them are very nice and tend to give you useful information if you ask them😊 The tool I use for live chat is Helpcrunch.
  23. I am not entirely sure what you want to do, but if you want to host your PWA on Squarespace, I'm afraid that it isn't possible😕 This is what I do with my application: My app is hosted on Sitegrounds as a subdomain - app.sparkplugin.com. My website is hosted on Squarespace on the main domain - sparkplugin.com. I use some DNS records for this to work.
  24. The standard (free) way to do this in Squarespace is to have the navigation on the top. I'm afraid you need the business plan and a plugin to do this, for example this: https://www.sqspthemes.com/plugins/sidebar-plugin
