  1. @nw7063 Love your website and product! Looks great😃 Also images, colors and logo looks very professional.

Here are a few (small) things to improve:

    1. The overall sizing of the fonts is a bit too big. I would reduce it.
    2. The nav falls into two lines (see below above). A solution is to remove "Home" from the navigation, as I don't think it is needed anyways.
    3. Don't use very wide text blocks like the text "At Soul Fruit healthy snacking is...". Put a spacer on each side instead. TO increase readability.
    4. On Our Story "WE’RE NAT & DAN..." on this block, use bigger margins (height) and it will look better.. Right now the margin is too narrow.

I wish you the very best with your project!👍

  2. @Denise_Earth_SQL Your website looks great for the most part!

Here are a few things you can improve:

    1. The hero image (start image) looks a bit weird to me. It is like you are showing two logos. What you can do: Remove the logo from the image, and use the image as a large background instead, where you put the "Expert database management..." - content on top.
    2. Remove "HOME" button from the navigation. It will only confuse.

    Good luck 🙂

  3. The website loaded quite fast for me, and I like your experimenting with gifs😊

However, I find it hard to understand what the website do and who it is for. "Latest Free to View Gigs and Who is Hiring for What" - Maybe it is because English isn't my primary language, but I find it hard to understand that text? Maybe you can add some short explanation to the top or bottom of your site to explain what it is.

    Good luck!

  4. @hasher22 I have mixed feelings about your website, but like it for the most part! 😊

    Here are some thoughts:

    • My first impression was that the website was good-looking!
    • Change the first image to a cake. To really show what the customer will get.
    • Change the "About me" image to a photo of yourself. It will be more personal.
    • Do not use black and white photos - with color look more tempting.

    Good luck with the launch!😃

  5. The base is good, but you can definitely do more with your start page @GeeCozy😊

What I would do is to remove the start page and use "Shop" as your first page instead. Then add a text at the top, describing your business. This will definitely increase sales.

  6. I like the look and feel of your website, you did a good job @Tiana👍

Here are some improvements to make it stand out more:

    1. Do you want to reflect a soft or more hard/organized design? At the moment your fonts are a combination of both. Either change the headings to a more strict type of font or change the paragraphs to a softer one.
    2. Try to reduce the amount of different colors and decide what tone you should go for. For example - iIf you like the brownish tone - use black, brown, beige, white and a dark blue. It will make your website cohere better.
  7. Good job! I like that you are consistent with updating the website, it makes it more interesting to come back if you know there will be new blog posts/news😊

One thing to improve on: Currently you show four of the latest posts, would it be possible to show more? Or at least have a "Show more" button? The new posts are extra interesting to read as they are new.

    Good luck!

  8. Nice website Ellie! You managed to design a well-looking website. Very cool items you sell😊

You feel something is missing - maybe that thing might be this: Show more of your items on your first page. Like the most popular ones. Then add a "Show more" button, so that you use those few items to make the customers want to look for more.

Another thing that would improve is to not have full with on the first page. The websites look great on a laptop, but on my large monitor the images gets too big because of the full width.

  9. I agree with you @Jo_SQSP, using a color that stand out is the best way to go most of the time.

I've done quite a few reviews on peoples websites here on the forum, and one thing that I see many websites do wrong is not using colors that resonates with what they want to communicate.

    For example:

    • I want to be personal - use a warm/soft color like low-saturated beige or brown
    • I want to show authority - use blue or black
    • I want to stick out - use a distinct color like yellow or pink
  10. @MattK34 I must say you have a very nice looking website! Love it. The combination of great colors and imagery makes it very good😃

I don't see any of the lag that you talk about so can't help you with that unfortunately.

Here are a few improvements to make the website even better:

    1. It would be nice to have a few more photos on every room, on the page "Rooms".
    2. "SALT-WATER POOL & HOT TUB", etc. Add some small icons here😊
  11. Hey @tuesdayroo, #-links don't work as normal /-links.

    # = go to a section (within the current page)
    / = go to a page

This means that if you use a #-link the section needs to be on your current page. Therefore I would recommend only using #-links if you have a one page-website.

However a solution for you would be to combine / (go to page) and # (go to section). For example, change your first link to:

    /home#whatwedo
