HELP with using different text blocks in one heading
taylahroberts1 replied to taylahroberts1's topic in Site Design & Styles
@CassAggett - May I still ask, do you know how I can stop text from collapsing like in the video above? I've swapped over the text as per your suggestion and it's looking much better but I'd still like to give that as an option. Thanks! -

HELP with using different text blocks in one heading
taylahroberts1 replied to taylahroberts1's topic in Site Design & Styles
Attached is a video of a site that I want to emulate - simply put, I don't want the text to move at all, and when the screen is made smaller it just eventually cuts off. Any ideas on how I can achieve this? Screen Recording 2023-07-25 at 8.03.15 AM.mov -
HELP with using different text blocks in one heading
taylahroberts1 replied to taylahroberts1's topic in Site Design & Styles
Hi @CassAggett and @bycrawford - thanks for your replies! the reason Iโm using three different text blocks is because I need to include three different fonts within the title. Iโm fairly new to Squarespace designing and still learning, so please let me know if there is a simpler way to include the 3 fonts in one block? @bycrawford - unfortunately this didnโt work as it makes the text look all different sizes depending on the length of the word ๐ -
Hi! I'm hoping someone can help with this as I've scoured the internet and nothing so far. My client has a tricky branding guide, and it uses 3 different fonts in one heading. So I've uploaded the fonts and added them with CSS but now I'm having trouble with them moving all over the place when the screen is made smaller - because I'm using a different block for the text variations. See attached photos for reference. Image 1: Is how the text needs to look Image 2: Shows the three different blocks used to get that style Image 3: Is how it looks when the screen is made smaller. I've tried removing automatic hyphenation but it didn't work as I'm assuming it only works when everything is within one text block. Thank you! Any help is appreciated! Hi!My client has 4 custom fonts that will need to be coded into the website. My question is, what would be the best way to structure this between headings and paragraphs? As I know this will also play a role in SEO. E.g. Would you make the "Subtitle/Tagline" font (which is a script/handwritten font) H4? Or H3? Or neither? ORWould you make The H1 the serif, H2 the handwritten in the same size, and then do the same for H3 and H4 in a smaller size? These are the fonts: x2 Serif (1 regular / 1 italic)x1 Script / handwrittenx1 Sans Serif It's a bit of an awkward question, so hopefully someone understands what I'm getting at. Haha. Any help is appreciated! Thanks ๐

Hi @colettewilsondesign, how do I check this? Thank you -
Hi! Needing some urgent help for a site Iโve just completed. The site looks great on desktop and mobile but the client has just showed me how it looks on an ipad, but as you canโt edit for ipad specifically anymore I have no idea how to resolve. Any help is appreciated! See attached video for reference url: www.anabezi.com IMG_1554.MOV

Hi @tuanphan, I used this code and it worked perfectly - is there anyway I can edit the font position (centred and middle) / font family of the text overlay? I would like it to match the rest of the pages without changing the title font family on the blog overview page. https://anabezi.squarespace.com/ password: ana123

Thank you so much @tuanphan! This worked perfectly. What CSS would need to be added to change the text size for mobile only?
-
Hi @tuanphan, I've added the captions now, is there a way to make them larger, move them up and to the left of the page and then remove the black bar at the bottom? Thank you! It's for the gallery at the opening (with the overlay of the navigation and logo). Here is the URL: https://anabezi.squarespace.com/home password: ana123

Hey! I want to add a text overlay (different pieces of text for each image) to a full bleed gallery slideshow (autoplay with no arrows) โ I've been searching this forum all day but haven't found a definitive answer yet. I tried the slideshow with the text and the arrows and added a code injection on the header to autoplay the gallery. However, the client did not like that the image "slid" to the next once VS. how it is now (cutting to the next image without any sliding). I'm hoping there's a simple solution to this, as it seems many people have been asking for this for years! Thanks a bunch ๐ For reference, here is the URL: https://anabezi.squarespace.com/ Password: ana123

Hey friends! ๐ What is the best way to add a slideshow to the homepage opening? I need it to be the first thing you see when you go to the site. Full bleed and for it to also be the background for the header (navigation + logo etc). I would provide the URL, but I've literally only started it today so it's just the template (Lusaka) Thank you in advance.

Hey! Could someone please help with the CSS to alter the position / size of the button on the mobile navigation menu. I'd like to make the button smaller and move up to be closer to the word "contact" but still positioned underneath. URL: https://emu-amphibian-6ln6.squarespace.com/ password: hello Thanks a heap in advance! :)))
