Found a resolution on another forum post.. sharing again below, if helpful to anyone else:
Add the following to Design > Custom CSS.

I used this to just disable the animations from the footer;
footer#footer-sections * { opacity: 1 !important; transition: unset !important; } -

The Squarespace team have advised that this is an error due to side wide animations when the Instagram block is above the footer, so for now I've temporarily disabled these on the footer in case anyone else is having this issue while they resolve it!
