  1. I had forgotten that tuanphan's solution does not prevent the page from appearing in the navigation. I have now gone through the whole post again and tested all the suggestions. What doesn't work with any of the codes is removing the page from the navigation. All I had to do was start the post at the end. The solution was already written right above my own question. How cool is this code that Chris provides? It actually works. The page comes out of the navigation. It is also well explained in the video on his site. Really respect and many thanks for this solution that SS itself has not managed for 3 years. Kind regards
  2. Hi Cass, That was my mistake. I didn't realise the code was different. I am just a copy/paste programmer πŸ˜‰ But now it works for me. Wonderful, and thank you again for taking the time to help me out. Regards Uli
  3. Good question and unfortunately squarespace seem to have no interest in offering this. Maybe it would also double their hosting costs, no idea. I only came across this topic because I wanted to try something without messing up my original site. So I found out how to make a copy of it for this purpose. But then, yes, they want to charge you after the so-called advertising phase.
  4. Hi Cass, hi Paul, I think I have it now. But what I donΒ΄t understand is, why the grid can be seen on your screenshot, though it should be the Classic Editor. When I am in Classic mode there is no grid. Or is it meant like this? Classic mode, insert css, update to fluid? But anyway. Working with the classic editor has shown me that I do not miss it πŸ˜‰ It would be nice if squarespace could implement more flexibility in the spaces. Or just bring back the ability to use css for it. So I will stick with what I have. I learned a lot and appreciate your help. Regards Uli
  5. Hi Cass, I haven't had time to check it out yet. But I had to watch a video first to understand what you mean by this, the Classic Editor. Never used it before with the new fluid engine. Will report later when it is done. Regards Uli
  6. Hi Cass, yes strange. First I thought maybe its the copy. But than tried the same with the original. I had to set a password, because it is a copy and Squarespace wants me to buy it, to make it public. https://falcon-owl-schx.squarespace.com/orte/neues-portfolioelement Password sent by pm P.S. Here the link to my original website https://ulibortz.squarespace.com/ If you are wondering why it looks like this, without the creative background. No idea.
  7. Hi Cass, back from the holidays I just tried the instructions from the styledsquare website. Made a copy of my website, so I cannot screw up anything. Followed step by step the instructions. But it makes no change. Greetings
  8. Thanks again Cass. But I won't be able to test it until after my holiday. Greetings
  9. P.S. This changes the web style for all pages. But I only want to edit one. So I will have to find a different solution. Anyway, thanks Cass.
  10. Hi Cass, that did the trick. Thanks for your help and solving my problem. Greetings Uli
  11. Here a screenshot, which describes better my problem. When I drag a new block to the left or right, so it is not anymore in the area of the "tiles", it is moved to the edge. That is why I want to expand those "tiles" more to the edges.
  12. Hi there, in some video tutorials I saw, its possible. But I cannot find a description on how it could be done. The first screenshot shows an empty section I added. I can edit the height. But how to edit the wide? So it looks like this. Just a collage πŸ˜‰
  13. I forgot which command I have to add at the end of the URL-SLUG of a project, so it will not be shown public. For example the URL-SLAG is /place/nice. What do I have to put at the end of /place/nice/?. Thanks in advance Solved: Found it. /draft is what has to be written, to take it off πŸ˜‰
  14. Indeed, I also noticed this. But I found this negligible for the great advantage of this solution. Your new code works fine. But when the page is in between, it unfortunately also hides the thumbnail to the next but one.
  15. Yes that helps and did the job. Now I finally have a workflow to edit or create new sites without having them directly online.
  16. I made the same experience. On trying to find a solution, the Help just tells me, not anymore in 7.1 and if, please go here to this post in the forum. Now I have to struggle with CSS code and try to incorporate code freely available on the web. But what works sometimes more and sometimes less well. Above all, I then never know where I have to insert what. And often it looks like a mess. That I now have to start coding to build my website was not my expectation when I joined Squarespace. Sure with CSS and HTML you can build in a lot. But there should simply be more building blocks that are offered to the user. Also not really understandable is what is partly built in after all. Pinterest works for me, for example. But also only on one page. And as already described in other post here before, there is in various places the possibility to set checkmarks, which are all meaningless, because these run into the void.
