    Begona reacted to paul2009 in How to take off newsletter message: This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply
    Previously, you had the option of using an ugly, visible reCAPTCHA on your Newsletter Block, or you could simply not have one.
    However, Squarespace have now taken the unilateral decision to add an invisible reCAPTCHA to every Newsletter Block - whether you want one or not. This means that if you use a Newsletter Block you'll now see this ugly disclaimer message, in addition to the disclaimer message that you may have added yourself. The message is that required by Google as part of the terms & conditions, and explains to users that Google cookies will now be used.
    I don’t like the fact that you cannot (currently) disable the invisible reCAPTCHA nor set the style of the messaging to make it less ugly. I've provided this feedback to the team. If you also have concerns about these changes I recommend that you get in touch with Squarespace Customer Care. You can reach out to them here. The more they hear from customers, the more likely they are to take our views into consideration.

    Hi there.
    I think the only ways you can fix these things are to move any code firing via code injection in the head of the page to the footer - this will stop render blocking. Anything else you want to remove in the header can only be done by going down the developer route.
    Next Gen formats again I think would be based on you being able to add them via the wysiwig, which I don't think it supports.
    Unused CSS is again tied outside of your control, although you may be able to expedite some load times with a pre-load (you might need to change the last item).
    <link rel="preload" href="//fonts.gstatic.com">
    <link rel="preload" href="//connect.facebook.net">
    <link rel="preload" href="//googletagmanager.com">
    <link rel="preload" href="//ajax.googleapis.com">
    <link rel='preconnect' href='https://fonts.gstatic.com' crossorigin>
    <link rel='stylesheet' href='https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Poppins:700,300,500&display=swap'>
    Again on the other points, outside of your control.
    Bear in mind that GT METRIX users Google Lighthouse for performance scores, and unless  you are serving a blank page no-one gets over 65%! 🙂
    Always remember that Google simply wants your websites to load fast so they can serve ads over them quickly, it has nothing to do with user experience 🙂 All that slows my website down now is their code.

    Another way to set anchor links:
    Set a code block above the point on the site you want to jump at (e.g. above a Headline, …). Fill the code block with an empty div: <div id="your-anchor-name"></div> Then set the link to jump to the anchor like this: /pagename/#your-anchor-link Hope that helps

    Begona reacted to spacetutorials in How can I create a popup window with text?
    @njrusso7 Hopefully the answer I provided gives you want you want.
    STEP 1
    For the page you want to have the Lightbox on (ex. Bio page), click the gear icon for that page’s settings, then click the Advanced tab. Paste the code below into the page header code injection box:
    <link href="//cdn.rawgit.com/noelboss/featherlight/1.3.2/release/featherlight.min.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" title="Featherlight Styles" /><script src="//cdn.rawgit.com/noelboss/featherlight/1.3.2/release/featherlight.min.js" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script>
    STEP 2
    On your Bio page, add a “Code” block and paste in the code below. This is the Lightbox that appears with that person’s bio information. You can style this more with CSS as well as include an image if you want, the code below is just for bio text.
    <div style="display:none;"> <div id="bio-john"> <p> Insert the bio text here </p> </div> </div>
    STEP 3
    On your Bio page, add a “Code” block and paste in the code below. This is to create a link to the Lightbox that will appear when you click on that person's bio (ex. Learn more about John Smith).
    <a href="#" data-featherlight="#bio-john">Learn About John</a>
    If I wanted to make that link a button instead of a text link, I would use the code below
    <div class="sqs-block button-block sqs-block-button"> <a href="#" data-featherlight="#bio-john" class="sqs-block-button-element--medium sqs-block-button-element">Learn About John</a> </div>
    If you are going to have multiple bio’s, then you would repeat step 2 & step 3, but would replace “bio-john” with the next person / something different (ex. bio-jack )

    Hi!
    I'm trying to remove space from variant-option select (Selecciona color), so it gets aligned with variant-option (Color) on Product pages (see screenshot below).
    I've tried changing padding, but failed.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Please check if this snippet help, add it into advanced->Custom code injection, so far there is no indication class name in body that show a page is search page or not
    <style> body:not(.not-search-page) .Header--top [data-nc-container="top-right"] { display: none !important; } </style> <script> Y.on('domready', function () { if (!Y.one(".sqs-search-page")) { Y.one("body").addClass("not-search-page"); Y.one(".Header--top [data-nc-container='top-right']").show(); } }); </script>

    Begona reacted to dimsk in How can I change the opacity background of the lightbox ?
    Hey,
    If you use a solid colour or a colour with an alpha channel like rgba you can set this.
    Try adding this into Design > Custom CSS. You can switch the background colour to whatever suits. To change the opacity, you can reduce the 1 down to 0.8 for example to have 80% opacity:
    .sqs-lightbox-slide{ background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 1) }
    Hope that helps!

    You can add a section under current section, with text/button. Then we can give the code to
    hide it on desktop resize image on mobile - remove banner text/button on mobile Show new section you just added on mobile
