  1. @tuanphan Thank you so much for the above. I've made both changes and am very pleased with the result.
  2. @tuanphan Thank you again for once again coming to the rescue and having a good look through the site for where it could be improved. 1. Trustees - fine with this. 2. Yes, reducing the space between text and vertical lines would be great. 2b. I also added text to make sure the text did not run off the left and right side and that seemed to stop working as well when viewed Incognito but on the CSS page it works great. @media screen and (min-width: 640px) and (max-width: 1200px) { body:not(.sqs-edit-mode-active) .col .timeline-event:nth-child(odd) .quote-block .sqs-block-content { transform: translate3d(0,0,0); } body:not(.sqs-edit-mode-active) .col .timeline-event:nth-child(even) .quote-block .sqs-block-content { transform: translate3d(0,0,0); } } 3. This one I thought I had solved by using the following code in CSS. When I view in the CSS window it looks great but then it seems to stop working. I don't think it likes the opacity I've added to the end of #f2f2f2. When I remove that it seems to work although it blocks out the image completely. // main image mobile // @media (max-width:640px) { [data-section-id="609aa62a18656e56660631b2"] .content-wrapper { padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; background-color: #f2f2f260; margin: 6.6vmax; }} 4. Yes if the FAQ / Resources and Contacts could be centred and also the social media links that would be great. 5. Yes, increasing the width of the summary boxes on tablet would be great. 6. Yes, stopping the left hand text and right hand icons from cutting into two lines would also be ideal. 7. Yes to reducing the space around the home page quote on tablet. 8. Yes, for improving the way the text breaks on tablet. Maybe getting it to stack? 9. Yes, I think a scroll bar at bottom of this page would be a good idea. 10. I think this is okay as is. 11. I fixed this - thanks for pointing it out. Thank you again!!!
  3. Site URL: https://triangle-keyboard-t5hz.squarespace.com Hi - I am changing increase the overlay opacity on the top image on mobile only. This is the code I am using without success. @media screen and (max-width: 640px) { [data-section-id=“609aa62a18656e56660631b2”] .section-background .section-background-overlay { opacity: 0.3; }} If anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong that would be great. I am getting a syntax error on the [data.. ] section. Thank you. Password: WLAC
  4. @bangank36 thank you so much for your help with the timeline. That worked! RE: the jquery suggestion. Would I do this in the settings / advanced / code-injection and do you suggest moving line 3 in the header (<script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-3.4.1.min.js"></script>) to the top and removing line 3 in the footer <script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-3.5.1.js"></script> all together? Just want to understand so I don't mess it up! Thank you again
  5. Site URL: https://triangle-keyboard-t5hz.squarespace.com/history Hi - I purchased the timeline plugin from @squarepaste and it is working well except on smaller Ipad-size screens where the text is running off the left and right sides and hence not readable and at the same time the spacing on either side of the timeline is too big. I can't seem to get ahold of anyone at Squarepaste which isn't great and I think it's a pretty easy fix but I don't want to go messing with their code... what I want to do is reduce the space on either side of the time line and make the whole thing more responsive on Ipads. It works great on a regular desktop and on mobile. Thank you! Site above. Password WLAC
  6. @tuanphan once again thank you so much and sorry for my slow reply.
  7. Site URL: https://cowbell-star-rc9y.squarespace.com/ Hi - I am building a simple site with two blogs (one about books and the other about recipes) on the blog summary page I want the books to be a 2:3 vertical image size and the recipes to have 1:1 size images. The styling seems to copy over from the other blog and I don't want this. I know I can use a summary block as a work around but I would rather be able to style each page separately. I've tried to target the section using .data-section-id="608aac8d53f5b35b10544d95" then .blog-basic-grid .image-wrapper img and then I get stuck!! Any help most welcome. I am still quite a newby. site password: katherine Thank you!!
  8. Hi @tuanphan. Do you mean add the superscript code that was creating the issues. That code was added as a code injection in the footer. If yes. Would it be easier to duplicate the site and do what you ask as the code applies throughout the site. As always, I very much appreciate your continuing help!
  9. @tuanphan Thank you once again for your help. Those both worked. Although now the icons when viewed on a tablet are very big (See screen shot) would you mind helping me reduce them. You had also mentioned there is a lot of space underneath the sliders and between the sections on the tablet as well. Any advice in terms of how to rectify is also welcome. Thank you again.
  10. Hi @tazmeah. It's me again. You have been so helpful and I am hoping you might be able to resolve a problem with the code above for the superscript. The code does exactly what I need in terms of the registration superscript for for some reason it then deletes the two gallery blocks (film photos and media logs) below the testimonial gallery block. I tried deleting the gallery blocks below and adding them as a new section and that didn't work. Basically anything below the testimonial was blank. Do you have any idea why? Thanks so much. I am new to SquareSpace and on a big learning curve and this forum and people like you have been so helpful. It is very much appreciated!
  11. @tuanphan Thank you for looking at my site. I am definitely on a learning curve! I think I might have fixed point 1. I will try adding a back button. Thank you for your suggestion. Yes please to some code that would help with point 3. And re: point 4 any suggestions welcome. I assumed this was the tradeoff I had to make to make it look good on mobile. Also.. Tazmeah helpfully gave me code to get a ® and also change the button on the mobile to yellow with grey text but unfortunately - the code seem to have made the film images and media logos disappear when the site was live so I deleted it. Any tips welcome. The registration mark is very important to my client. Thank you again!!
  12. Site URL: https://earthworm-octahedron-jelm.squarespace.com Hi - I am changing to change the contact button on mobile. On desktop it is yellow but for some reason on mobile it's black. Both are using the same style sheet so I am not sure why. Any advice on how to change would be welcome. Thank you!! Website address above Password is TBZigg3
  13. Site URL: https://earthworm-octahedron-jelm.squarespace.com/ I have been reading older posts about using Code Blocks to add a superscript. The company I am working with has a ® at the end of their name. The site is pretty much built and now I need to figure out how to turn every ® in body copy and headlines to a superscript. Is there any easy way to do this with code block? When I tried by adding .. <p>TommyBars® text.</p> I basically ended up with the code block showing the right thing and nothing else. I really don't want to go back and redo all the type in multiple markdown blocks. Thanks so much. Katherine Website: https://earthworm-octahedron-jelm.squarespace.com/ Password: TBZigg3
  14. Hello. I have a yellow hover in my nav bar and in my footer I want a grey hover. This is the code and it doesn't seem to work. I am getting a hover in the footer but it appears to be a pale yellow. Any help is greatly appreciated. Here's the code that I am using for the nav and the footer /* Remove 'Featured' Heading from Summary Block Carousel */ .sqs-block-summary-v2 .summary-block-setting-design-carousel .summary-heading { display: none;} /* remove underline on nav */ .header-nav-item--active a { background-image: none !important; } /* Nav item hover color */ .header-nav-item a:hover { color: #ffd54f !important; } /* Nav item active color */ .header-nav-item--active a { color: #ffd54f !important; } /* Footer Link - Normal */ .footer a { color: white; } /* Footer link - Hover */ .footer a:hover { color: #424147 !important; } /* Footer Link - Active */ .footer a:active { color: #424147; } p a { background-image: none !important; }
  15. Hi - I think I have the same question. I have a yellow hover in my nav bar and in my footer I want a grey hover. This is the code and it doesn't seem to work. I am getting a hover in the footer but it appears to be a pale yellow. Any help is greatly appreciated. Here's the code that I am using for the nav and the footer /* Remove 'Featured' Heading from Summary Block Carousel */ .sqs-block-summary-v2 .summary-block-setting-design-carousel .summary-heading { display: none;} /* remove underline on nav */ .header-nav-item--active a { background-image: none !important; } /* Nav item hover color */ .header-nav-item a:hover { color: #ffd54f !important; } /* Nav item active color */ .header-nav-item--active a { color: #ffd54f !important; } /* Footer Link - Normal */ .footer a { color: white; } /* Footer link - Hover */ .footer a:hover { color: #424147 !important; } /* Footer Link - Active */ .footer a:active { color: #424147; } p a { background-image: none !important; }
  16. Site URL: https://earthworm-octahedron-jelm.squarespace.com Hi - I am quite new to SquareSpace and I am designing a website for a client. I am hoping someone might be able to help me: 1. I want the navigation items (Rigs and Features) to link/jump to sections on the home page. Is there a way to do this? I have created pages in order to get the section names into the nav bar and I am wondering if I can do some re-direct from these pages which are blank back to the home page and the correct sections. 2. I have added a gallery block plug in and I want to know how I (a.) remove the grey overlay, (b.) change the description text to dark grey and (c.) add a short description to the thumbnail photos. Thank you!!
  17. Hi. I am new to SquareSpace and probably just made a huge rookier move - creating a design in XD, getting approved by the client and now realising it might be harder to execute. Pic below. I want to create a checkerboard grey and white grid - 2 across and 3 down. Each individual grid will have a little icon (to I add this to the background or add as an image) then a title and some body text. It needs to read as two across on a desktop or tablet and then stacked on a mobile. Any advice about the best way to build it in SS would be amazing and thank you!
