If anyone falls into the same trouble, I can confirm it is indeed a bug. I've just spoken with CS via the chat and they have offered a workaround. You would either need to change your buttons to No Fill sitewide, or you recreate the section with the Membership Sign Up Block but do not choose a theme colour, you must leave it as the default. The minute you set your section colour, the issue comes back.

The Yearly/Monthly toggle button seems to have a bug. If you selected 'Monthly', the 'Yearly' button text is the same colour as the button itself. It's not even inheriting the button style from my editor. I have square style selected, yet the Pill is showing up. It has definitely changed without me doing anything. I have been in touch with Customer Support via email who are just telling me about changing entire styling for the buttons but that affects buttons sitewide. I added code to make them equal height but this code isn't responsive, so they're not equal heights on smaller screens (mobile is fine as it stacks). Does anyone have code to remedy this?
