  1. @paul2009 Hi Paul, thanks so much for getting back to me. It confirms that there isn't a more obvious way. I think I can work out on the code required based on some tutorials for overlapping images. You've saved me a lot of time and I'll try with CSS. Best regards & have a lovely day.
  2. Hi Paul @paul2009 Following up on this. I wonder if you could advise how I could put a PNG image on top of an image in 7.1 please? Directly on top in the centre. It seems like such a simple thing, but none of SS7.1 image types seem to allow it. The only way I can do it is to make the bottom image a background of a whole section and the image should be smaller than that. I guess I could try to bring the margins in of that one section? I think I must be missing the obvious though. The reason I want to layer the png on top of the background image is because it contains script font
  3. I should add that I need the png centred over the image. Thanks
  4. Hi, Can anyone help please? What's the best way to add a .png image with transparency on top of an image? It's an inline image, not in a summary block or carousel. It seems that none of the image options (inline, stack etc) allow an overlay image though. The png I'm trying to layer on top is a graphic from my client of 2 fancy coloured script fonts with transparent background. I'd rather add it as an overlay than save it direct to the image for responsive purposes. Can anyone help please? So far I can only add it if the image underneath is a background to a whole section. I
  5. Hi Tuan, I would like to make 1 section sticky at the top of one page only and with a transparent background (it's a narrow line of text acting as navigation anchor links). I'm trying to customise the code you gave above, but not having much luck. I put it in Advanced injection code of that page only, right? Is anything required to go in Design/Advanced/CSS to make it transparent? This is the section ID: section[data-section-id="5f59e427074004756e44cdd8"] Thanks so much in advance.
  6. I'm having the same problem. A title in the calendar is no good without a description and a link. I also saw the poor reviews for Eventable. An 8 hour lag in events showing up on the client's calendar was one complaint. No free trial with Eventable, which is probably because it has these problems.
  7. Not an expert, but if you have Scheduling in your account, you can insert a calendar block which pulls from the appointments in the scheduling calendar.
  8. That worked perfectly. Thank you Tuan! The tool you linked to is a big help too.
  9. Hi, I have 2 sections on a page. Top is for desktop, bottom is for mobile. I successfully hid the top section in mobile view thanks to code found here. I now need to hide the bottom section in desktop view. This is the code that I used to hide for mobile /* this code for tablet - mobile */ @media screen and (max-width:640px) { [data-section-id="5f168cff92f0a40baa399208"]{ display: none; } } Now trying to hide this section on desktop <article class="sections" data-page-sections="5f168bd06a769b073e0558ae" id="sections"> Thanks
  10. Hi Paul, Thanks so much for taking the time to write this. It is understandable now and I can explain it to my client.
  11. Hi, There is an ugly black rectangle on the lockscreen which we don't appear to have any chance of removing or changing colour in Design/Lockscreen options. I have changed all colours to white or mid grey, tried password styles in both rectangle and underline. Nothing gets rid of it. It shows up on the real page in browsers, but not on Edit page while in Squarespace. Any ideas please? Thanks
  12. @derricksrandomviews You helped me fix it. There was a bad piece of code for a font in CSS stopping all other CSS working. Thanks so much.
  13. @derricksrandomviews Thank you for this. Much appreciated. Strange things is, this code worked last night with individual IDs. At lunchtime today the shadow disappeared! I deleted and reinserted all CSS to match what was there last night (I had saved a back up of CSS). Any thoughts on what might cause that? My colleague was trying to format fonts and other pages throughout the day. Nothing related to my summary block shadows though. I reinserted your code above (without individual IDs and it didn't work. It's as if all CSS is turned off. Thanks
  14. Do you want them to stay fixed at the top of the page as customers scroll down? I need something similar and have asked, if I get the answer I'll share it. If you don't need it fixed to the top of the screen, then 3 images within a block, each with a link would work. Spacer blocks between.
  15. Hi Tuanphan, Thanks for getting back to me. I got the code to work for shadow around the summary box. However, it's very tight against the text, so I need to add padding. I'd also like to change the background to light grey. I might solve it before you see this, but if you are around, here is the code I have: div#block-yui_3_17_2_1_1599738514010_17446>div { background-color: #ffffff; border-radius: 5px; -webkit-box-shadow: 0px 0px 15px rgba(100, 100, 100, 0.1) !important; -moz-box-shadow: 0px 0px 15px rgba(100, 100, 100, 0.1) !important; box-shadow: 0px 0px 15px rgba(
  16. Hi Tuanphan, Thank you for getting back to me. Very kind. I have found a workaround by adding text links in excerpt and buttons to the individual events. Just strange that the summary blocks can show any. Thanks anyway. It's a 7.1 quirk I guess.
  17. @derricksrandomviews Hi, Sorry to ask, but I wonder if you could help with a similar question. I'm trying to put shadow around the summary block. I used your code above: .sqs-block-summary-v2 .summary-item { background-color: #ffffff; border-radius: 5px; -webkit-box-shadow: 0px 0px 15px rgba(100, 100, 100, 0.1) !important; -moz-box-shadow: 0px 0px 15px rgba(100, 100, 100, 0.1) !important; box-shadow: 0px 0px 15px rgba(100, 100, 100, 0.1) !important;} but it puts shadow around the individual items within the summary block. For example, my summary block contains events. Each
  18. Hi, How does everyone manage with no buttons on the 7.1 event page? They can view the event, but then can't do anything like click to join. Most of my events are digital, so clients would expect a link to a webinar or live stream once they have landed on the page. I have been manually adding buttons to the individual event pages, but can't add them to excerpt, meaning none show on the complete event page. Very odd! I need clients to be able to book 2-3 seminars quickly, but the event pages are slowing everything down. Clients click from the summary on the main page to land on one and book that
  19. Hi, I found code that puts a shadow around summary items, but instead of separating individual items, I wanted to put a shadow around the complete container box for the summary block. I tried changing "summary-content" to "container-box" and "summary-block" but it didn't work. Any advice or code would be appreciated! Thank you.
  20. Hi, I would be very grateful if anyone knows if this can be done? 7.1. I'm using a multi-page template (Alma) but the main page has Jump To navigation links at the top in a narrow horizontal strip. It's a long page for visitors who are time poor attending an event. For this page only, I would like to make it sticky at the top of the screen, so that when people scroll down, they can jump to areas easily. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
