    I've been using Squarespace for many years, but in the past 3 months or so I've really noticed an increase in the number of issues in the page editor/builder. I've tried in both Chrome and Firefox and it makes no difference. I've also tried it in both 7.1 and older templates and the issues remain.
    Examples are:
    Insert a spacer block and have to wait 10 - 30 seconds before I can move or edit any other blocks Tear-drop insert points just not showing or showing in the wrong place (like in the center of a block, rather than at the edges) Unable to shrink or expand the size of a spacer one moment, but then can a few moments later Ability to edit a page simply goes away and I have to save or discard changes, then refresh the page and then continue. Does anyone else feel like they are constantly waiting for the page editor and it is slowing down your work flow?
    As someone who often spends 4 - 6 hours a day building Squarespace sites, I for one can say it is driving me crazy!

    One of the ways to speed up the editor  is to make sure it is the only window open in your browser. Give it all the resources that you can. Close out any other program that is also using the web, FB is a bandwidth hog, and  streaming while working could easily kill the editor. When having these issues you might also run a speed test to narrow down the issue, config problem or bandwidth problem. I run this one:

    I use an offsite image manager to sort my photos for uploading to squarespace and when it is open I have to be patient. I found I can speed things up if I drag the photos I want to my desktop and upload to SS from there with the image management softwared closed.

    A much simpler version of the above is now delivering consistent results for me. Maybe it will work for  others?
    1) Add new Blank Section between Header and Image Section.
    2) Set this new Section's Height to its lowest value: 10.
    3) Capture Section ID.
    4) Insert the code below with the Section ID into the page's Advanced Code Injection.
    [data-section-id="Your Section ID"]>.content-wrapper { height: 0 !important; padding: 0 !important; }

    I'm really struggling to get an image to display properly in the first section of a page in 7.1.  If I add the image to any section below the first section, it will display properly.
    The first section on each page appears to have a shorter height, I guess because of the site header. But I can't seem to find any combination of image sizing that won't cut off the top of the image when it displays.
    I have the section height set at 100%. I've dragged the focus dot up to the very top of the image.  I've resized, cropped, and re-loaded at least a dozen variations of image sizes and nothing is working.
    The image is full bleed, so I have it set on the long edge at 2500px, but no matter how much I crop the height, it still cuts off the top and just enlarges the image to fill the space. It's maddening.
    Is there a page header code injection I can use to properly display the image in this section?
    And does anyone know the ideal proportions for full-bleed images in this first section? Or the actual dimensions of this section?
    Thanks!
