  1. Thanks @mikewr This has come up for me this week.
  2. Hello! I am setting up a site for a yoga studio client this week, they plan to sell their workshops and weekly classes on Squarespace Commerce. I am wondering if any Canadian Squarespace designers have used Squarespace Payments yet and can recommend using it over Stripe. I have only set up clients on Stripe. Is there a price difference or an ease of use comparison? Thanks!!!
  3. Hi there, This site looks good so far. I really love the colours and photos. Your fonts say "approachable" and professional to me. For some quick tips to tighten up the design, this is what I would do if I jumped into your website (desktop). Header Make your logo bigger, so that you can see the text Use your Sans serif font for the menu, Make the choices smaller Add a call-to-action button in the header on the right. like "Make an Appointment" or "contact us" About Me Make the professional organization logos a bit smaller. Footer Eliminate the space between the orange line and social media Just a few suggestions as I know you are still in development. Hope that helps! Jodi
  4. Hi @yogacid, This is a really great-looking site! The visuals are spectacular. I love all the photo choices. I feel like it is really well done, and my suggestions are quite minor. If this were my site. I would add contrast to two areas. I might add a different font for the quotes. This might need to be done using CSS. I would also take down how much space the quotes have around them. In the editor if it is at Large for spacing, I would change it to Medium. I would only use the "rounded section feature" for the top and the bottom. The middle sections are looking bubble like and again for contrast - I think the eye needs a break from the curves. (But keep everything else, buttons rounded and even the articles section. Like!) Our partners on the homepage - the logos are coming up extra large on desktop. Perhaps some spacing around them. Hope that helps!
  5. amazing! Thanks, this will be very useful.
  6. @KristenRuthSmith Did you come up with a solution for this? I have a client who would like to do the same thing. Thanks!
  7. Hi! Your website looks very professional and trustworthy. The dark photos and sans serif fonts are giving a modern look, maybe even high end. Is this an expensive service? If this were my site, I would add more content on your homepage. See it more as a table of contents for the rest of your site pages with sections and short snippets to each inner page. I would add warmth to the imagery on the homepage too. If you are community driven, I'd love to see photos of happy people receiving their packages from a delivery person or someone doing the little things for them. "We bring smiles, convenience, and comfort right to your doorstep." "welcome home" is an awesome tagline. I would love to see visuals and colours that match that warmth. And I would describe exactly what a community concierge does right in that first hero section. Many won't know how you can change their lives for the better! Describe the problems that you will take away and joy you will add to their lives with your service! Adding a list of your concierge services even in the second sectio will help. Hope that helps!
  8. @creedon Disappointed to see its not a simple solution. I popped some CSS in over the holidays, but it seems like you have the proper solution, thank you.
  9. @tuanphan https://www.goldstarcanada.com/book-my-expedition I added some CSS, this seems to have solved the problem.
  10. Hello! I can't seem to find a button that I can turn off the "from $500" on the product listing page. Is it something I can select? Do i need to do custom CSS? Thanks! Jodi
  11. I'm having this same issue with many, if not all of my websites. Even my own. https://www.sprintwebsites.com/ Has anyone solved this issue? Is this just Squarespace is a big CMS and it's the code behind the scenes? This doesn't seem to be a reducing image size issue. Thanks!
  12. You know what? It's only doing this on the SS editor. I guess I'm not going to worry about it!
  13. Hi My background images that are "inset" are suddenly not working this week, but were working last Friday. It's like it is expanding to the full height of the image. I've deleted all of my custom code to see if that is causing it. It's the same when I have nothing in my css. Full bleed works normally. Anyone else experiencing this today? Thanks Jodi
  14. Hi! I'm putting together a Squarespace video page for my client and embedding her Youtube Videos. Do you think there is any risk of being penalized by Google for duplicate content, by using the same video descriptions as she has on her Youtube page? I've been using what she has on her Youtube video descriptions using them for the description and excerpt sections on her Squarespace video page. Should she be writing unique descriptions for the Squarespace page, different from what she already has on Youtube? We are really focusing on SEO for the site, and don't want this to be a setback. Thanks to anyone who has experience with this!
