Hi Erika! I had the same problem in 7.1 but what is strange is that a week ago I was able to change the color of background and text of the announcement bar by going into the color theme of my header section, scrolling down to the announcement bar section within that color theme, and changing the color of the background and the text right there (no CSS required). And then for the last couple days I have been trying to change the color and text of the announcement bar again by going to the same place but when I change the color there it doesn't reflect on the bar. I tried to refresh, close and come back, quit my browser etc but still no luck. Then I stumbled upon your code above. It worked for the background color but not for the text color. What am i doing wrong?
