  1. Hi I want the blog and calendar posts to have a background color distinct from the page background. Or have a box around them to show where one starts and the next begins. I see how it was done with blocks . Adding a background color to blocks and sections of website. but not how it is done in a posts page or a calendar etc.
  2. When creating a post and selecting categories, I do not see a list to choose from. Have to type in a letter that may match a category for it to pop up to select. Am I missing something? We will have multiple users creating posts and hate to have to give them a, gasp, paper list to know what categories are available to select..
  3. Tuan gave me some new code to keep mobile grey blocks, not elongated. Working well! Remove code you used & add new code /* Calendar */ .background.background--iseventscollection { display: none } @media screen and (min-width:768px) { .itemlist { display: block !important } }
  4. I had a similar problem. Hover or would not do anything. Using a surface pro 3, and bluetooth keyboard. Others had problem with using a second display. I sselected block to a witched to the regular keyboard,and others dropped their second monitor. Have to keep the mouse clicked down to insert a block . You should be able to edit demo blocks as any others. Check with squarespace email help. They have been responsive to me.
  5. HI! See below. I used your code.. great on the laptop or desktop. site is still under development , will this attachment do? ""To remove the images in the calendar, use this code: .background.background--iseventscollection { display:none; } To make the events visible use this: .itemlist { display: block !important; } ""
  6. HI . I added some script to the posts page, clunky but the link returns the url of the page, last part of the link shows the category selected. <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <title>Get Current URL in JavaScript</title> </head> <body> <script> function getURL() { alert("The URL of this page is: " + window.location.href); } </script> <button type="button" onclick="getURL();">See page criteria</button> </body> </htm
  7. Hi. Rammy, this works great on the desktop view. But now the mobile calendar gets the text instead o fthe grey block. Is that true for you too? thanks!
  8. Hi. Site is still not published. Right now I put in a code block that has a button that just pops up the url. The url shows the criteria. Ugly but at least it is a start 🙂 Code copied tutorial republic <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <title>Get Current URL in JavaScript</title> </head> <body> <script> function getURL() { alert("The URL of this page is: " + window.location.href); } </script> <button type="button" onclick="
  9. squarespace help recommended this forum for advice. I want to display what criteria were used to create a summary page. Ie, If I select archive search: Cat a, I want the summary page to show that Cat a was the search criteria. Any ideas? I want to minimize coding, but am willing to put some in if needed. Thanks! Sue
  10. I changed my keyboard back from a bluetooth to microsoft's keyboard / cover . Now working. Hover with mouse now opens blocks for editing. Some sort of conflict with external devices?
  11. Could be external devices messing with mouse? Mouse worked fine on all other apps, just squarespace, hoverf would not trigger block open for edit.
  12. hmmm, changed back to Microsoft's keyboard from a bluetooth one and restarted. Now working.
  13. I use a surface pro 3, testing squarespace ver 7.1, can edit text if I use a tab to get to a simple text box, but otherwise , it is almost impossible to get the mouse to trigger a block for editing. No external monitor. Anyone find a solution? mouse works fine in all other programs I use, windows 10 and chrome up to date. Same issue with edge.
