Text block quote, invisible vertical line

When I go to save the text the vertical line disappears. How can I make this line visible when saved? I'm thinking its a matter of addressing its color... Meaning the vertical line's color is possibly the background color, & if so, where can I change this color because I have not been able to find? I'm using version 7.1, Souto template. Thank you!
