Also having the same problem on a client site -
I'm having this is exact same problem on a client website. I also made a duplicate and removed all extra code with no success. It's only the mobile menu that's the problem.

Actually I figured it out. instead of .portfolio-grid-basic it needs to be .portfolio-grid-overlay -
