    Hi all,

    hoping one of you can help give some insight for me.  Running pagespeed tests, my site always seems to be super slow scoring due to images in one way or another. I'm trying to find out if there's something I can do on my end to help this issue, or if it is how Squarespace formats, stores, or displays images for us...

    I'm going to link some screenshots. I'm really trying to see what I can do for the top 3 issues that waste the most time on page loading.

    This first one shows the total potential savings by optimizing for these issues. That's 45 seconds, but may not work that way as these issues could be inter-connected I guess.  I opened each issue so you could see the description of what it says.  Thanks for any help/info.

    Looking to change settings of my gallery overlays.  Font is white on light gray background which makes it very difficult to read...

    I have this custom CSS sitewide:

    //Overlay background//
    .yui3-lightbox2 .sqs-lightbox-meta {
        background: #e0e0e0 !important;
    }
    //Overlay heading//
    .yui3-lightbox2 .sqs-lightbox-meta h1 {
        color: #000000;
    }
    //Overlay description//
    .yui3-lightbox2 .sqs-lightbox-meta p {
        color: #000000;
    }

    but I'm missing something, because the top part of description/title is white, not black.

    All,

    I've searched for quite some time and I'm having trouble finding what the difference would be between these two. Hoping somebody can break it down easily.

    I have http://www.elbpapercutting.com connected to https://www.birdmafia.com, so it goes to the homepage.

    I found that my domain registrar allows domain forwarding, so I'd like it to go to a specific page.  https://www.birdmafia.com/elb/process

    Do I need to disconnect the domain first, then go to my domain registrar and do the forwarding, or will it just not work at all for a specific page since it's a 3rd party registrar and not squarespace?   Would there be any difference between forwarding the domain over connecting the domain?

    Thanks for any info.

    Attached photos: screenshot showing my connected domains, then my dns records for elbpapercutting.com, then my domain forwarding.

  4. @jpeter I've also seen not possible with connected domain... Should I disconnect my connected domain, and just do the forwarding only?  I've had elbpapercutting.com connected to birdmafia.com for a few weeks. Now I went to my domain settings and setup forwarding to birdmafia.com/elb/process, but it's still just going to birdmafia.com.  Maybe it's due to the connection? Disconnect and be okay?

  5. Does this work to forward it to a specific page, and not just a specific homepage of another domain?  My 2nd domain is not registered with squarespace, so maybe it's only possible with ones registered with squarespace?   I've updated elbpapercutting.com to forward to birdmafia.com/elb/process, but it still just goes to birdmafia.com.  I'm going to wait a few hours to check it again, in case there's just a delay.

    Hi all,

    I've searched a bit and haven't come across this same issue.  Made quite a few new pages today and a lot have the footer navigation completely missing somehow.  I have a lot of pages as birdmafia.com/bm/PAGENAME  and a lot as birdmafia.com/elb/PAGENAME.  All of the /elb pages are missing the footer.

    The footer pages are all just birdmafia.com/PAGENAME.

    I do have code on both the bm and elb pages, but since the issue is only on elb pages I will put an example of the code here. This is from the birdmafia.com/elb/process page:

    First script is killing ajax.

    Second script is changing the header logo to a different one (as I pretty much have two websites on one.)

    Style is taking all the "bm" pages off of navigation as I just want the "elb" page navigation to show on this "elb" page.

    <script> src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.5.0/jquery.min.js"</script>
    <script>
    $(document).ready(function() {
        $(".logo-image img").attr('src','https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/552be451e4b002ba88486ccb/1592153511995-L8GSUF5RZW15W543Z09G/ke17ZwdGBToddI8pDm48kBstQmN-e4qQ8TQjAUoxqk5Zw-zPPgdn4jUwVcJE1ZvWQUxwkmyExglNqGp0IvTJZUJFbgE-7XRK3dMEBRBhUpwGbtSA7WutlFA3XjmDXUDFNP3fKoq9dv-tLni4LyDXHU8qFrvjsVylotUH-wwWsZg/elb+2+x+2.jpg?format=1500w');
    });
    </script>
    <style> nav#mainNavigation>div:nth-child(1),  nav#mainNavigation>div:nth-child(2),  nav#mainNavigation>div:nth-child(3),  nav#mainNavigation>div:nth-child(4),  nav#mainNavigation>div:nth-child(5),  nav#mainNavigation>div:nth-child(6),  nav#mainNavigation>div:nth-child(7) {display: none;}</style>

    All,

    looking for ideas on what options I have to make the mobile header better. Everything looks great on desktop, but in mobile it makes the social icons hidden until you hit the "..." icon, and it has the shopping bag further over to the left for no apparent reason.  Any ideas on how to make social icons show on top with shopping bag instead of hidden by "..." or if not an option at all     then how to hide the social icons on mobile.  Those are the two ideas I had.

    Let me know what you think.

    I have this code in to resize the mobile social icons, I tried making them even smaller - it never moved them to top. Just smaller to see once you hit the "..."

    //social icon resize in mobile//
    @media screen and (max-width:768px) {
    .tweak-show-social-in-header .mobile-social .sqs-template-social-icons .sqs-svg-icon--wrapper {
        width: 30px;
    }
    }

    Hi all,

    Trying to research if anybody has found any roundabout way to park a 3rd party domain (i have elbpapercutting.com from yahoo - currently parked on birdmafia.com) onto a specific page of our site. I have yet to come across anything, and it would be fantastic if I could make this happen.

    If the only suggestion is it can be done if it was registered through squarespace, would anybody know what would happen with my email inbox from yahoo? I'm not worried about any for elbpapercutting.com as that's brand new and never set anything up. I'm worried about our birdmafia.com email inboxes (registered through yahoo along with birdmafia.com domain name.)
