Blank space on the right side of my website shows up on larger desktops?
MTakai replied to MTakai's question in Coding and Customization
That worked! Thank you! There was a small typo for "width" so here's the correction: Thank you again! -

Site URL: https://www.melissatakai.com/ Hi there, I notice that the right side of my website has this random blank space (not sure if this is considered padding, border, or margin) as seen in the screenshot below. This problem only happens when I view my website on a large desktop computer. It looks fine (meaning no blank space) on my laptop. Any way I can get rid of this? Thank you!

How to reduce top padding on a specific text block?
MTakai posted a question in Coding and Customization
Site URL: https://www.melissatakai.com/ Hi there, I was wondering how I could reduce top padding on a specific text block? I've attached images of what I mean. As you can see, there's a lot of spacing between the text block and gallery block above. It looks pretty bad on mobile. I'm trying to move them closer so it looks like a caption. I'd like to leave bottom spacing alone. Also, I say "specific text block" because I would like to do this on my homepage only, if possible. Thank you so much! -
Site URL: https://www.melissatakai.com/ When you hover over the project link, the image that pops up isn't vertically centered to the link. It used to be normal but then this glitch happened a few weeks ago. And in case someone points this out, I do have this code on my website: .portfolio-hover { position: absolute; width: 100%; } But removing it doesn't fix the problem. Any other solutions to this? Thanks so much.

Site URL: https://www.melissatakai.com/art-and-photo Hi there, When you right click on my website, it gives you the option to save the webpage (shown in the attached screenshot). When you do this, it actually gives you a folder with the original files of my photos on that page. Is there any way to disable this? I'm using Squarespace 7.1 and don't have access to the code injection function. Thanks!

Hi there, I'm currently using a portfolio page as my homepage in Squarespace 7.1. I notice the page isn't fixed (it allows people to scroll up and down at least on a 13" laptop) even though there's literally nothing but one line of text. I've attached a screenshot to this post where you can see the scroll bar on the right side. My other pages (i.e., Art + Photo and Contact) are fixed which I like. I wonder if there's a code fix to this? I've tried to size down the images (when you hover over the text, an image appears) but it doesn't make a difference. Thank you!

Portfolio layout is making my images dark?
MTakai replied to MTakai's topic in Site Design and Styles
Okay wow, so I actually fixed it lmfao. I found this topic which provides this code: .portfolio-hover-bg-overlay { display: none !important; } Put it into Custom CSS in the Design tab and it should remove the overlay! See the image I've attached to this comment. I'm gonna leave this topic up for those who run into this problem in the future. -
Hi there, I have a portfolio page where project names run across the screen. When you hover over a name, it shows an image (I'm using the "Hover: Follow Cursor" portfolio layout). However, I notice that the image is darker than what I uploaded. I'm sure it's a dark overlay effect but I can't seem to figure out how to turn it off or change the opacity to be transparent. Any insight? I've inserted a screenshot of what my website looks like. When I hover over "Mock Album Covers," it brings up the image (a series of three squares) which is actually transparent. As you can see, the transp
