Hi @sarah_cowan this isn’t because of a Squarespace update. The workaround is to replace “assets.squarewebsites” with “plugins.squarewebsites” in the code. This should resolve it instantly.
I’m interested to know where you are based because the only users known to be affected by this are based in the UK and using BT Broadband. There’s a fault with BT’s DNS servers that is preventing access to the “assets” url.
Update December 2023: The issues are now resolved. The “assets” url should now function correctly.

Is anyone using the Universal Filter Plugin from Square Websites finding their code no longer works since the last Squarespace update, and the product filters have completely  vanished and been replaced with Squarespaces clunky product categories? I've tried removing and re-adding the code again but nothing is showing/working. This is occurring on both 7.0 and 7.1 websites.
Websites it has stopped working on:
    https://www.giveadamngift.com/shop/
    https://manorbarnorganics.com/shop
It's so disappointing that we've been screaming out for filters (price asc/des, newest, search bars etc) for commerce pages for years, and even paying for plugins like this, only for Squarespace to break them and still refuse to bring in these features.
Any help or feedback would be gratefully received. My clients are rightfully not happy (and right in the at the beginning of the Christmas sales period), so if anyone can suggest alternatives that still work too that would be amazing.

It's s a much needed feature, YES. I had an idea to solve it. But it has a drawback. The idea is to create a product that is  the amount owed after deposit, only. In the description text, state the deposit amount, but it's just in the description. So it says : Total, X less deposit X,  amount due X. " Create a password protected page and put that product in it. Send an email with a link, the password, and a request to complete payment. After the payment, you can make the product hidden until you need it. You can change the password, change the amount, or you can create a series of "completion" products of different value amounts that you turn on and off as needed. The drawback is that the "product" cannot be totally hidden from public view. But who will likely find it or buy it anyway? Imperfect, but doable, at least.
Feature request number two: Hidden from general public products that can be bought. Even if the "shop" is not linked , Can't do it without the potential someone will find and  try to buy what they think is a product for general sale.

I am just about to embark on setting up deposits for my workshops (services). I am wondering if Squarespace has progressed this since 2020?
Also, the deposit is only pertinent if the payment is made in excess of 2 months before the workshops starts, if not they need to pay the full amount. So, I am trying to envisage how to give the client the right price / option to pay (deposit or full price) depending on timescale to the workshop start date.
The above 'workaround' seems fine, but doesn't talk about the timeline issue I describe.

Yes. Instead of holding shift and clicking items, you can now check the checkbox(es) next to the posts you want to move.

Does this work on 7.1? I have multiple blog pages on my site. Is there a way to move a post from one blog to a different blog?

Yes and no, you could achieve it with CSS but you would need to set the name field to make it not mandatory. If you would like to do this just enter the below into your websites global CSS.
.last-name { display:none; } But if you want to just collect somebody's first name then I would just recommend using the text field instead and just calling it first name.
