C19E reacted to paul2009 in Import of blogs keeps failing
It will be easier to do this directly from Squarespace to Squarespace. There's a similar thread here:

There isn't a built in solution that can do this, but it should be easy to do with the right tools, because you're moving from a 7.0 Dovetail site to a 7.0 Brine site and neither are using Developer Mode.
You can buy a third party plugin for the Chrome browser (Squarespace Websites Tools Extension) that will do this for you effortlessly, or you could hire someone to do it for you.

Feature requests, improvement suggestions, and bug reports should all submitted by raising a ticket with Customer Care.
You cannot track feature requests because Squarespace do not make them public.

The best way to do it is the old fashioned copy and paste move. The two sites do not see each other even though they are in the same account, with same ownership. That is as it should be actually.
there are a couple tricks folks have tried, with mixed results:

Hi drdavis74,
At the moment, Squarespace isn't optimized for importing content between Squarespace 7 sites. This is mentioned in the help guide below:
Importing and exporting content
If you would like to submit that as a feature request, please contact our Customer Support team as Squarespace doesn’t track feature requests or bug reports in this forum.
Thanks!

C19E reacted to tommie113 in urlID error when importing Wordpress file exported from Squarespace
I need to create comparison sites using different templates. I thought maybe I could export my site and import, but I know Squarespace doesn't recommend importing their own file, although they support importing other sites' formats.
When trying to import, I get the error: "— com.squarespace.v6.business.content.exceptions.InvalidContentItemException: urlId cannot be null: 82RWHTREFWN3BLDNAFC6"
I opened the file in Word and an xml viewer and don't see a tag (or even mention) of a urlID, or the string at the end.
I get I'm trying to do something that's not recommended, but just asking to see if there is an easy fix or something I'm missing.
