Isn't it funny, that quite a lot of people are struggleling with these cookie options?
    Me too!
A bit more funnier: Obviously squarespace is able to provide such selectable cookie options.

giflishtih reacted to paul2009 in After recent 7.0 and 7.1 updates, I'm no longer to add multiple tags or categories to summary blocks
This is the result of the Block Editor UI update that was rolled out without warning on 3rd February 2021. Prior to this update, you could manually enter multiple tags separated by commas on anything other than Squarespace 7.1 Store content. Unfortunately, the new Block Editor has a dropdown control instead of a textbox and it is now only possible to select one category (or tag).
Squarespace overcame many of the new UI limitations by issuing an update on 14 February, but this particular issue was not resolved in this update. I agree with @digitalfreelancer that this is extremely irritating and look forward to this being fixed in the near future. You can voice your concerns to the Product team by logging a ticket here.
For information, the Summary Block Editor UI is shown below, before and after the update (Feb 2021):

See the update. The ability to add multiple tags was restored.

Hi @Margiada56 you're talking about the category and tag filters you can apply to summary blocks. Previously it was an open text field so you could comma separate multiple tags/categories, but now it's a dropdown so you can only select one.
I agree that this is a severe limitation in the latest update and hope that Squarespace see sense that it is really useful to be able to filter by multiple categories/tags.

Hi Paul, thank you very much for the feedback.
The problem with third-party solutions is, that they cannot control all Squarspace's cookies.
So far we have used Cookiebot in connection with the Google Tag Manager.
But also here, only cookies that can be entered in the Tag Manager are controllable.
Obviously this is possible on the German Squarespace site with Trus Arc.
Example: Adobe font (typekit) and LinkedIn
My next question to the forum is, who has experience with Trust Arc or with a GDPR compliant solution of a third party.
I need this solution for 10 Sqaurespace customer sites.

    Hi,
I have seen the exact same thing happening on my websites. The solution for a GDPR/ePrivacy compliant cookie banner with Cookiebot worked perfectly fine so far, but suddenly the banner also blocks some of the website content.
This doesn't only happen when the user says no to all cookies, but also sometimes even before the decision is made (i.e. when a user lands on the page).
It seems that there are some content elements that get hidden because of the cookie banner script.
For my sites, this mainly affects:
background/banner images on Index Pages the header part (logo and menu) on mobile devices: hamburger menu When being in contact with Cookiebot, they told me that it probably could be corrected if you could choose where exactly in the (entire) header the cookie script is placed. It seems to interfere with some of Squarespace's elements - but not all.
When placing the Cookiebot script t in the footer section instead, it doesn't work since it won't block all the cookies right from the start.
The Cookiebot team also suggested using the "manual" instead of "auto" blocking version, but this doesn't work either.
I am now looking into other solutions - hoping that the Squarespace team will offer GDPR-compliant cookie banners for its EU users soon.
Interestingly, on the German Squarespace website (de.squarespace.com), there is now a cookie consent banner where the user can choose which cookies they accept - which is a third party solution by TrustArc. Maybe this one is worth looking at, too.
It was also recently mentioned here:

Using metomic.io for my own and numerous client websites seems to turn out well.
It's free, mulitilanguage, visually fits to Squarespace, custom brand color and more.

The only thing I don't like is that both yes & no buttons are of the same kind,
but metomic says they don't want to make a tool that converts (anyway) but a tool that is legit.
It comes as a popup, not as a banner bar:

I tried to integrate cookiepro into squarespace.
this works well on the published page now.
only when i want to edit my page it does not work.
has anyone had any experience with this?
actually squarespace would either have to develop a cookie-banner itself that complies with the DSGVO of the EU or offer a thirdparty solution that really works for squarespace...
I'm pretty annoyed by squarespace in the meantime...

So, who might be in charge for the implementation of this to all Squarespace websites?

We need it so badly, all Squarespace sites are illegal with the old cookie consent right now,
the only legal solution in the EU as of today is to switch off all cookies,
which is such a bad idea when it comes to all things marketing & analytics.
Dear @yoshe are you involved in this?

    Dear Squarespace team,
Full-width sliding images with the ability to place the same or different text and buttons on each image is absolutely a feature we need. I get this request on literally almost every site I build.
I believe it is a feature that would get used  millions of times over. I love what you have built and the more I get used to 7.1, I can see it's advantages. Adding this feature would make 7.1 an absolute no-brainer. Please acknowledge our collective desire to have this implemented as soon as possible.
Thank you for all you do!
