  1. I'm using JotForm now, much better spam tools including honeypot and logical CAPTCHA plus CSS tools to match with SS site
  2. I’ve been using Squarespace for over 10 years and the structure markup data/schema issue has not been resolved. As designers we have no recourse when it comes to your CMS assigning un-deletable schema. The result is incorrect data, schema markup errors, duplicate data, and the wrong (logo) images being fed to google and shown to search engine users. When can we expect this problem to ever be fixed? It seems every response from Squarespace kicks the can down the road another mile “nothing we can do, will add to feature request list”, and no timeframe ever given or sign that this is a serious issue for SS. Are you guys just leading us on or what? We work hard on these sites and our clients depend on us to solve these types of issues, ergo SS makes us, the designers and your customers, look incompetent. Not a good look.
  3. I'm looking for CSS code that will convert my 7.1 mobile menu into the older style akin to 7.0 bedford template. That menu came out from the right side of the screen, and only covered part of the page one was previously viewing. It would be nice to style the mobile menu in 7.1 a lot more, like possible in 7.0.
  4. I'm looking for CSS code that will allow me to change the site header background color (when dynamic header is active) for blog and event pages in 7.1. My logo (site title) is white. Since the header inherits the background color of the first section on blogs and events – and these are still Classic Editor pages and NOT Fluid Engine (nor can they be) – new sections cannot be added (in order to change the header background color). With the same site in 7.0, the header would automatically change to purple, which I believe was based on a site style setting I cannot find in 7.1.
  5. idk maybe you can contact support and ask them to give you complimentary access to circle specifically so you can turn FE on and off. I find it useful for some sections and not for others. It can be toggled during design, and each section has its own editor type, either classic or FE.
  6. Site URL: http://willowpregnancy.org/ I'd like to replace the hamburger nav w the desktop version when using iPad in landscape view only. Any good code for that? I see a lot of other posts asking for the opposite. I'm using 7.1
  7. I followed your instructions, and the show/hide feature works, but the block does not resize. that means there is a large empty space below the text where "read more" would reveal it.
  8. "To disable Fluid Engine on your site, visit the Settings > Circle Labs panel, check Disable Fluid Engine, then click Save."

  10. As can be seen in the attached thread, fluid engine is not being received well by myself and many others. I am starting this thread as a sort of coping mechanism for users. I am considering changing platforms after using SS since version 5. This fluid engine update, with no reversion options, is unforgivable. The engine is not ready for public use at best and at worst should be abolished. It goes against the original philosophy of SS - keep things simple and idiot-proof. Well, they have successfully alienated that mission and all of us as well. https://forum.squarespace.com/topic/221449-new-fluid-engine-section-block-update/
  11. 100%. I have 5 websites on SS, been using since version 5 and this is the worst SS has ever treated their customer base. I never even got an email letting me know about fluid engine, let alone asking for my input about new features. Nope! Just roll it out on everyone with no way to revert to the classic editor. I would like to permanently block it from touching my sites. The headaches this has caused me and many others is simply unforgivable. We now have so much more to worry about, and working with this fluid editor is just plain awful. The mobile editor is a joke. I guess now that SS is a publicly traded company they don’t care as much about us. It’s a shame. They arent even on these forums and call it “community”. Its really a board to help us cope with their bad decisions at this point. I have emailed my complaint to them but can guarantee I’ll get a canned response like “we’ll forward your feedback to the right people”…sure, because you’ve proven my feedback is so so important to you. and to add insult to injury they just raised their prices across the board. Unreal. I am angry.
  12. 100% fully agree with all points. SS is really screwing up.
  13. Not sure what you mean about the menu being a black square and the height issue, its transparent with white lines on this end using both device view and an actual device (iphone) to check. I replaced the code I had with what you supplied, but the graphic was too large and there was text in the header (although I couldn't see it all on iphone as the logo was so big).
  14. I added the code but it did not change the hamburger menu on iPad.
  15. No, in place of the social icons. I would move those to the left where the logo currently is.
  16. This thread helped me do something similar to what you are wanting...to get the text on the side and formatted like that would require more CSS I imagine
  17. sure, https://thermal-res.squarespace.com/ pass: 0000
  18. sure, it's https://www.roofingcontractorokc.com/
  19. tuanphan, question: I want to force desktop menu on ipad only, but not iphone. Can you help me with code for this?
  20. John how do you do this with squarespace forms?
  21. I got this to work for me as well, however I'd like to know the code to get the hamburger menu on the right vs. left side of header.
