Remove Background Image Overlay Color

Hey! I'm trying to remove the overlay color from my background images so that my background images look exactly as they should without a color overlay. When they background color is white, the image looks washed out, when it's black it's too dark. I've tried numerous code injections into Custom CSS but no luck. Help!
