I was having issues with the above code. The comma after the img property causing the code not function properly. Once I removed that comma it worked for me. Here is my updated code:

Thank you for clarifying! By flipping the options to have the size first and then the color it will be more user friendly. 🙂

Yes.
When a product has complex variants (more than one dropdown), a valid combination of variant options must be selected BEFORE the image will change. In other words, a visitor must select a size before the colour dropdown will have any effect.
