I'm trying to optimise our blog post headline styles for google (picture 1 "Hochzeitsinspirationen: Nachhaltige…"). We're using template "Skye".
The idea usually is that the blog post title should be recognised as headline 1 / h1. Of course! The problem is that apparently all the main blog post titles in this template – which seems to be made for blogging – are assigned "h2" by default. (picture 3_blog post title h2)
I can't change it. (I checked the headlines with web developer: picture 2)
I could repeat the headline in the following text box and assign it "h1", but I assume there must be i better solution. Doubling can't be it just to have it as h1. (picture 4_headline repeated in text box & 5_h1_recognised)
So my question is: How can i get my blog post titles to be recognised as headline 1 / h1 …? Or is changing the template the only way? But like I said, it seems like this template is purposely made for blogging and Squarespace tries to cater to Google. Is there a bigger picture behind the blog post titles being h2 and I'm just not getting it?
Thanks for your help.
