Logo color change or Invert logo on homepage in 7.1

I’ve tried quite a handful of css codes on this forum but could never get the logo to swap to a different version or invert on the home page. I’m thinking it’s because I’m using the 7.1 templates. The one I’m using is called Hester. I’m new to Squarespace and css in general. Please help.
